Shree I never could figure out what the fuss about Rockstar was.
Am so glad there are others who feel the same. 😃

Arre na behen, I don't think the power to discern the difference between music and noise has got any thing to do with the experience of years we have backing us. 😆 And again, in life we count only heart age, which has to be young.

Also, do watch Parineeta. One fabulous movie, Vidya Balan is the most expressive actress of our time. I recently caught her interview on that Anupam Kher Show. I have come to deeply respect her after that, it is bewildering to learn how much she has struggled to reach where she is today.

Ah, fuss! Can we ever figure out what might click with audience? It was Imtiyaz Ali, Ranbir Kapoor and A R Rehman coming together, and a whole generation of college students who associate the "cool" factor with "Rock" and "Rockstar". Most of them frankly do not understand the concept of psychedelic rock, they go with the popular flow and things that are "in". This perhaps engulfs a populace into a vogue instilled using high end marketing tactics. So much so, that you when you dare to rebel, you are looked down upon and considered a rustic with no taste for Pathar music. Well, what can we do, roll our eyes maybe. 😆

Have you heard Meesha Shafi sing Dasht-e-Tanhai?

😆 We should better know what we had signed ourselves up for.

Pardon my ignorance, but never head of it.

Moving way back in the mists of time, have you seen Bimal Roy's Bandini and Guru Dutt's Kaagaz ke Phool?

And Anand and Chupke Chupke and Abhimaan?

@ Mathur - Congratulations on becoming a Goldie, as well as for the new thread! 👏 You are hard-core Bollywoodholic! (If that is a word) Would never dare compete!😳

@Shree, Ruchi - Wow, you guys intimidate me when it comes to Bollywood! 😳

I seem to be in the wrong thread, with all the experts sharing their opinions, I would prefer being a silent reader instead!

All five of them. And hell again, they are favorites. Dude, our cinema is such an embarras de richesses. Add these five to the list of favorites. 😆 I have also seen Bilmal Roy's Sujata, Do beegha Zameen, Parakh.

And Guru Dutt's Pyaasa, Aar-par, Sahib biwi aur ghulam.

Chupke chupke and Abhiman, many times. An ardent fan of Hrishikesh Mukherjee is here.

Watching Abhimaan also did one thing, I totally trashed Ashiqui 2. 😆
