he writes and reportes for AAJ TV from Pakistan. He's one of those international journalist that made there way here but represent there own country so you wouldn't find him that easily although his clips and writings have been used after being translated on CNN and BBC likewise.

I'm so impressed that you girls know what you want to do at such a young age!

Areeba, what does your father cover? I'm sure it must be fascinating having him around and it's an additional bonus that you're actually interested in that arena - I'm sure he's proud!

Choti, is your public speaking event done for the summer now or will you still have to travel somewhere?

LOL at the counselor's question - she should know better😆

It does suck, and it's incredibly frustrating.

You know, I love to write- but writing these stupid personal statements are perhaps the hardest pieces I've ever had to write. It's completely different when someone is judging you based on 650 words that you write about yourself. And some of the topics- it's just so hard to pinpoint one moment where I felt "intellectual vitality", or something that I feel is undervalued in my life.

People think that writing long essays are impressive, and they are- but I would argue that writing a succinct piece is SO much harder. Uff.

Ooh! How do you like AU? Once you get to the top schools, they all offer essentially the same level of academics.

Culture differences have always amused me- when my counselor asked if I was planning to go to college, i was taken aback. Growing up Indian with a professor for a father made it so that college was never an "option"- it was required 😆

Not only you even great minds feel the same way as you do...

My choice to pursue medicine eventually is fueled largely by personal experiences. Some things shape you, and they've pushed me to want to dedicate my life here.

Areeba, that's so cool! I read CNN a lot, so maybe I have come across his work- NYT is my favorite though. They have phenomenal opinion writers. I'm also very fond of Fareed Zakaria- really balanced view.

My public speaking event is done for the summer! I'll start up again in fall- I'm hoping to do a tournament in NYC, actually! I love public speaking- I do extemporaneous speaking. 30 minutes to prep a question on current events. So addictive 😆

oh I wish we had public speaking on our school but what we had was only moot court and mock trials. We made it to semi finals last two years so it was good.

I did do Online Model UN thorough. That was fun while it lasted.

Medicine is a field of opportunities! Do u hope to specialize?

Pediatrics! I love kids- even when they tend to drive me up the wall 😆

I'm tempted to watch Hate Story 2 solely to make fun of it.

just finished reading "glass". The story was a perfect piece and as her first story ever, was impeccably well written.
