I finally put up my comment on the blog... and I wanted to post it here too...
Hi Juhi, I am going to try to put everything I want to say about this story into one little comment... THIS WAS ONE GREAT STORY!
OK, just kidding... I will write more.
This was another proof of how good a writer you really are... you took a very run of the mill plot, (boy meets girl, falls in love), you took away all plot elements like villains, mystery, accidents etc... and yet managed to keep the readers enthralled through 10 super long and very very entertaining chapters.
We all went through our guesses of how Aman would turn out evil, but he turned out just another ordinary guy. We theorized about how NK was evil, was plotting against the Raizadas, was plotting against Arnav, was gay , etc... but he turned out to be just anther ordinary guy.
We had discussions about how Shyam was in on it, for the money, for Khushi, for property, for NK... but in the end, he turned out to be just another ordinary Brother-in-law concerned and looking out for the his family's interests and well being. We speculated about Lavanya, Druv and even the waitress at the Crepe place. But they all turned out to be Ordinary!
Of course we all crooned over Sheetal, the perky, foulmouthed , bird, but you threw a curve ball there by making her a heart broken witch! ;)
OK, so what I am really trying to say here, is that you wrote a story that was about ordinary people in ordinary situations and you made it soo exciting.
The Villains in this story were not the evil brother-in-law looking to kill you for your wealth and lusting after your wife at the same time, or the evil dadi, who wants to force her prejudices and backward thinking onto her family...
the villain was Khushi and Arnav's inner daemons... their insecurities, their weaknesses and their fears.
It can't get more real than that. This is what most married couples deal with in real life... This is what everyone faces, and fights against (or sadly give in to) in all their relationships. And you portrayed all this so well...You made us fall in love with Arnav and Khushi again, and even more deeply, if that was possible.
And to top it all , you gave us the CC and the Baaraatis... Kya bolu ab????
