was watching BBC Sherlock again
the season3, episode one was so finely edited
specially wheh sherlock and John is discussing with others about making peace

sherlock: he has made his position quite clear
cut to a scene where JOhn is putting on surgical gloves for his patient, with his middle finger prominently high

OMG 3 film contract...*rubs eyes* still knowing KJo when he does decide to make Meluha (which might be never first he has to go and patch up with all the people he's been offending though) he will not pick any itsy bitsy person...

*warning: MB cast fangirling starts*

I was skeptical about Pooja as Draupadi, had no idea about Dury (except that he looked hot), thought Aham was too thin and for 1st one month I was not even sure the same guy who played the bumbling assistant in Geet is now playing Shakuni (then I saw him as fashion designer in Suvreen Guggal..he and SRJ should start So Versatile We'll Shock You Club). For Shaheer I was slightly more confident bc I'd seen him in Navya so I knew he had experience but still seeing the no of flop mytho shows I wasn't really sure whether the cast would be able to do justice to such great characters.

Now I am blown away...Rupa Ganguly is not easy to follow but Pooja owns Draupadi like seriously nowhere do I feel I am watching Pooja Sharma the actress playing Drau..I see Draupadi. And don't take this in the wrong way(unlike certain fanfiction writers) but there is a chemistry between SRJ, Pooja and Shaheer-again I don't see 3 actors I see 3 of the greatest people of those times and their divine connection. Also Arpit and Praneet should get a medal bc the CV's give them such OTT gestures and noises they have to make like they're 60's BW villains or something but they pulled it off.' Even Aham is good as Karna though they've done something else to his character altogether lol. Basically all of them are good, except for a few, I don't think anyone was miscast. Even small roles are played to perfection.

*fangirling ends*

@Dr. Model: I like that song 'Kabira' and it's the best song you could tweet to your favourite actor okay bc this is what they do to you everytime they come on TV...if I and my favourite had a Twitter handle I'd tweet him too lol.

Am recapping OUAT and waiting till they start showing Season 2...for the 1st time I noticed that the Mad Hatter truly is a psycho. Also am I the only one who gets annoyed when they show Mary Sue type characters in fairytales/TV shows? You know there's always this one character, either minor or major who is so unbelievably pretty and nice and there is no visible flaw in them and instead of loving them I just want them to die lol. And the story of the dwarf and the fairy made me want to cry okay, like for legit.

Also I'm liking House...it doesn't have the 'hustle and bustle' of Greys like in Greys it felt like every second some character was dying and another was hooking up and some one was breaking up..House is more focused, they show one plot and stick to it and you get to know each character's flaws gradually.

I think somewhere down the line, the perfect casting director for DKDM was hired for SKT MB too
DKDM started the trend of mythos being so beautiful and close to us and bringing just the right cast for the show

Who would have thought mouni roy could be sati and boy wat a sati she was,. BEST mahashakti scenes ever, combining MB and DKDM and the flop show of the sagar's durga

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Meggz
if you think Mary Margaret is Mary sue all the time, you will be up for some nice surprise, along episode 16 of season2.

Anyway some people r like that, no matter how much trauma or sadness they go through, they still have hope for Good

do you know, kunti actually asked krishna, before he was leaving for Upaplavya after done with his HP duties, give me more trouble and sadness kanha, else I will not call upon you, and pray to you

I shudder thinking about Kjo having the rights of Meluha, he is going to ruin it with his casting. I wanted someone like Shekhar Kapoor to make this, it could have been epic.
I love Pooja Sharma as Druapadi, she gets the emotions bang on. Totally lives it.

@Sherlock Sherlock- want him now. I even like the old version on youtube the one played by Jeremy Bret .

@Indigo - House is a great great show, you would enjoy it. GA is more about the characters , big cast . I always preferred ER (earlier seasons) to GA. But Shonda is Queen . You would like her Scandal too. I like how challenging House is for emotions.

Nooo I don't think mary margaret is a mary sue...earlier I used to be annoyed bc I found her and david too perfect but then as series progressed I found she is not like that at all. I was talking in general sometimes writers do that, especially with kids. I think it is kind of condescending..if the character is already brave,loyal, kind then what journey do they have, how will they develop that's my thing. At least you can put them in a situation where they display those qualities instead of having them only smile or serve as motivations for other chars.
like in some novels female lead is only seen from perspective of male lead who tends to glorify her and we never get to know what she feels or thinks or how she is as a person independent of the male..we just see her as goddess or some kind of angel

But yes there are some people who interpret a crisis as a test of faith by God..and it is a positive approach, it builds up your character. Epi 4 or 5 of house which I watched recently dealt with this topic. I don't believe in attributing every small thing to God, that's escapism sometimes your own hard work and sense counts too but sometimes you just have to assume some higher power did a thing for your benefit even if you don't see it that way.

I didn't know about the krishna kunti thing but thanks for telling.. If everything is good and happy then what purpose does your life have..you might as well be with God..if obstacles are sent it has to be for a reason..

I think even God does not approve of attributing everything to God logic
he is do take a step and I will take the rest 99 steps, but U have to take one step and work hard for it.

Its like exam. You have to prepare hard and hope to have God help you.
And then its possible you would get those questions which u prepared the best in the exam.😆😆

+++++++++++++++

Well yeah,, male poets and writers always do that. Either they make the woman a terrible person or deify her too much. Not showing what she might have felt or thought or her own crisis. And most of screen writers CVs are male too

That is why women like Kunti, Draupadi are such refreshing changes. KDV was the greatest poet for some reason.

Tagore, in his Chitrangda has a beautiful line, which chitrandga says to Arjun, right in the end, before he accepts her as his wife.

I am chitrangada, a princess, not a Goddess, not just some woman. I don't want to walk in front of you, I don't want to walk behind you. I want to walk beside you, in your life and in your work. Can you do that? can you accept me as your equal and let me match you step for step? Then you may have me.

++++++++++++++++++++++++

Megz, aren't you a bit bored with Henry and his constant I believe song? The writers would even use that later to show its not always right.

Yep..agree about the exam thing my mom always tells me the same.

Exactly..you stole my words. This whole Madonna-harlot complex always irritates the hell out of me. Also women are portrayed as being over-emotional about everything, rarely do we see subdued or mature women, nope we are always being crazy and attention seeking...

Totally..when I was younger I didn't really explore the character sketches but now I am fascinated by them. In that era itself they deal with every situation a woman could face now-unwanted pregnancy, sexual harassment, marrying man who already has kids, being married to multiple men(they say this can be a reality in modern times too bc of skewed sex ratio) and the best part was each woman had her different motivations even if all of them belonged to patnivrata category they had different ways of showing it.

Even Sita interests me in a way..Sita, Savitri, Sati-nowadays they are mostly spoken of in mocking tones like everybody goes 'I am no Sati Savitri I am a real woman' but weren't they real women too? Like it's not their fault that history oversimplified them but for all we know they could have been complicated and intelligent women and even if they were devoted to their husbands doesn't mean they didn't have lives of their own. I mean look at Savitri for instance, firstly she finds her own husband and she sticks to her decision even though everybody says 'he will die later', that takes courage. I mean can't we compare it to modern day women choosing to marry men who are suffering from terminal illness or are soldiers? and she actually has the guts to challenge Yama. Even if she did it for her husband's sake that doesn't take away from her courage.

Aha..Chitrangda..again a topic which most rom-coms try to copy and fail miserably..showing a woman changing herself for man's attention, but then in the end she asks him to accept her as she is. Beautiful beautiful line that is what I have always wanted too-walk with me, that's the only position I want.

Tbh I was annoyed by Henry's character as a whole at times because he just seems so hell bent in 'believing' as you said, and it surprised me how quickly he accepted who was good and who was bad and started distancing himself away from his adoptive mother and got gravitated towards a woman whom he barely knew...but then I surmised he's a kid and most kids are like that, they just believe -what attracts them only though-and tend to be stubborn. So the writers showed it's not right? Interesting, will wait to see if Henry changes his 'beliefs' down the line.
