My childhood friend is visiting and she watched SRJ for 2 minutes today and said OMG what a brilliant actor is playing Krishna.

This from someone who does not watch the shows or know who SRJ is

OMG you'll are discussing Shuddhi and Meluha casting..

I don't think shuddhi is the Meluha movie version bc if it was then KJO would have done anything to get perfect casting plus even amish tripathi would have come in the news at least somewhere for promotions..also since it's based on a popular franchise I don't think KJo would let his protege direct it he would helm it himself.

I think Shuddhi is one of those epic drama types which will either be a huge hit with people raving about it or it will be colossal flop. I would have liked to see Ranveer DPad but Kjo has been a real hypocrite to Ranveer on the KWK episode he was shamelessly trying to milk Arjun's tragic past and he was obviously annoyed by Ranveer's chemistry and in your face antics. And now that Ram Leela and Gunday are hits he thinks he can chase ranveer and ranveer will choose him over SLB who gave him his first big hit...also Kjo treats actors of flop movies horribly look at imran and kareena

Anyway for Meluha I really wanted to see Hrithik and Aishwarya after their Jodhaa Akbar chemistry but ofc Bollywood trend is to put a younger heroine but I cannot think of anyone. I like Deepika but I can't imagine her but she's a good choice

If they are picking from TV I guess they'll pick Mohit Raina bc he is already popular as Shivji and he's appearing in Bollywood award shows too..and I guess they'll pick Mouni for the same Dkdm chemistry. Though they could pick Pooja too.

SRJ is made for the role of krishna and he is a brilliant actor. I knew it the day I found out same guy who's playing spoilt brat in uttaran is playing vishnu in DKDM and god knows he will surprise us in future. No offense to their fans but I see all these weird actors getting film contracts and while I might like them on TV I don't think they have screen presence required for bollywood..

BTW who is this He who must not be named type person you're talking about I'm guessing he's the lead of a very popular drama(popular on IF at least) that ended some time back..

I don't think Amish would be involved so early on in the movie...

There was news that he had sold the books to Dharma.

THEN there's been news of casting.

I do not think Chetan Bhagat was involved with casting for 3I (ugghh raw deal for the guy) or Kai Po Che or even 2 states --as examples.

their involvement comes on screenplay and dialogue level.

I wonder if Amish will be as IN YOUR FACE as CB during the making/promotions of Shuddhi (if it is Immortals)

That's weird...authors should be involved in the casting. As a writer myself I would never allow some company to interfere with my vision. When producers make casting decisions they are largely motivated by their own shallow reasons like looks, market trends than what suits the character plus KJo is No 1 Nepotist so he will definitely look for star kids before picking outsiders. 3 Idiots was barely anything like the novel 5 point someone..I'm actually glad it was different (I don't like CB that much no offense to anybody who likes him lol)

Sorry I made a wrong guess. Usually whenever some actor has to be mentioned in a nameless manner I always assume it's some really popular guy...He who must not be named is not that popular I think and there Is NO WAY even Kjo would be stupid enough to cast him in Shiva trilogy. He might just get a minor role if Kjo wants to promote him but then so many star kids entering why him?

Things work differently in bw.

There has been authors before who were alive when their books were made into motion picture, in indoar they don't have much say, because somewhere down the line, the movie industry and people involved in it drrm to have a mich higher status than those who write the books.

Even outside india, you have to be someone lile Jkr to have absolute say on casting of each and every character of your book, stipulating it should be all British cast and so on.

The actor we r mentioning from TV was in JDJ last season, TV ke popular hero u can say, although sonce his show is not about passive aggressive man ill treating the woman of his life, he is less popular. He has signed 3 movie contract with dharma.

Anyway I would tweet srj and rankabhai.

And I bow down before rankabhai, I dissed him ans his weird voice dubbing so much.

BUT in all this, we have to praise SKT--he saw something in these actors that we would never EVER have seen; with the EXCEPTION of SRJ. Tannu saw that too i have to give it to her.

I checked and at least 60% of his followers are from a certain country in the east

now those people won't be tweeting him songs from BW movies will they😉
