"I have become more responsible after hosting Gumraah"

Says dashing actor Karan Kundra who shares about his personal and professional life in a candid chat with TellyBuzz.

Karan Kundra one of the most lovable actor in the industry started his journey with the show Kitnii Mohabbat Hai on Imagine which also went on to have a sequel later. A good looking Punjabi munda he is very much known for his relationship first with the pretty actress Kritika Kamra and then Madhura Naik.

Karan Kundra changed his chocolate boy image to a reality show host on Channel V titled as Gumrah. He will also be soon seen in Vikram Bhatt's movie 'The Horror story'. The actor has two Punjabi films too lined up for release in the coming months. Karan is also looking forward for one more Bollywood movie that is still under process. This actor doesn't have time to breathe at all with his erratic schedule.

TellyBuzz gets you never heard words from Karan Kundra as he unwinds his thoughts...

Talking about his upcoming horror flick film Karan says, "I am happy that I got an opportunity to work with Vikram Bhatt. He is a flawless director and every single shoot was a memorable one. People often ask me if I was scared shooting for a horror film? I say 'no'. I wasn't scared that much but yes, the location was so huge and big and mostly we would shoot late in the night so it was a little scary. The location was spooky and so that was a bit of a scary situation but it was fun shooting and I learnt a lot in this new genre which I explored for the first time."

Karan is also hosting one of the most popular youth based show on Channel V titled as Gumraah. So how has he changed as a person and doe he give advice to people for their own benefit? "To be honest I am not into advising people. I am making them aware that there are various kinds of situation that one can go though and there are pros and cons to every situation. Everybody at one point of time goes through it and that has changed the mindset of viewers. I would like to share that I have a very large set of target audience who watch this show and I have been getting mails, letters from across the globe. There was a time when youngsters never spoke to their parents and they had inhibitions but after watching episodes of the show they have started communicating, boyfriends have changed their mindset, girlfriends have also started understanding the situation of their boyfriends."

Further Karan adds, "I have been getting calls from deans of schools and colleges, heads of various media institutes and also people are also appreciating the show. Moreover I am thankful to the makers of the show that I am just the medium but still the show has created a lot of impact in the minds of every age group and it has also changed me to a greater extent today. I value and understand my parents, my sisters and their importance and that of my maid. I have also started to understand their issues. I have become all the more compassionate towards people and also responsible towards my personal life."

After the success of his youth show Gumraah does he plan to get back into daily soap for which he said, "No I don't think so. I have no time and I am keeping too busy with movies and I am already doing one of the biggest show on television. I am thankful to my fans that they have accepted and appreciated me in every role that I have done so far, be it a lover boy in Kitni Mohabbat Hai or in a Punjabi movie or anchoring in Gumraah."

As Karan mentioned earlier that he has become more responsible, so does he plan to get into relationship? "No not at all. I don't have time and have so much of work to look after. I don't want to get into a relationship just because it's important. I am very much responsible towards my relationship so I should be able to give time to her and I have no time because of my routine. As of now it's just work on my mind and nothing else."

Karan spills the beans about his past relationship, "I am thankful to my past relationship. They have always understood me and given me much required time. I would not say that I was immature then and I wasn't too responsible enough to take care of the relationship. I had my own priorities and notions but things have changed now. I have become much focused now."

When asked Karan about his future plans he said, "I have no clue what I will be doing in the future but I surely will entertain one and all forever. It's my promise."

Shakespeare once said, What's in a name?' But if you continue referring someone with a wrong name for two long years, it's bound to trigger irritation.

And when that someone is an actor and a public figure, we just can't imagine the level of exasperation that he/she has to face.

Well, if the above mentioned thought might sound unreal to you, let us introduce you to Sheetal Khandal, who has been mistaken as Nivedita Kohli all this while.

The girl has been working hard portraying the simple and yet strong Gehna in Colors' Balika Vadhu after replacing Neha Marda. And surprisingly the world has never recognised the real girl.

Checking the Wikipedia page we found that the site has also wrongly mentioned Nivedita to be essaying the role of Gehna. Even media has been referring her with this name all the while.

Wanting to know more on this Nivedita mystery, we called up Sheetal who claimed, "I seriously don't know where this name of Nivedita came into the picture. I have been doing the show for the last two years and I have no idea how the world got confused. My identity has been lost and all the Niveditas' must be feeling happy gaining some free publicity (laughs)."

We wondered why she never thought about clearing the air and Sheetal replied, "To be honest, I am not really someone who is into all these worldly affairs. I did not even know about this mistaken identity crisis until Shashank (Vyas) brought this to my notice sometime back. That's when I saw that all websites indeed carried the wrong name, but it's my folly that I did not give it much importance."

"Also during the Holi event, news channels had run the scroll with Nivedita' name during my interview. That was the last nail, as I was clearly mentioning Sheetal during our tete-a-tetes. My family too was visibly upset with this. When I called up the news channel they agreed to change it, but then the harm was done and sadly I did not get any revert from them," sighed the beauty.

Didn't she seek help from the production house and her channel? "See, the Colors website clearly has my correct name; as for the production, they indeed promised to get it corrected, but who all could they go to? Thus sadly the confusion remained, but I am sure with I clearing this issue, the world would finally realise that I am Sheetal and Nivedita," she concluded.
