You are right. Faithful reproduction certainly requires some talent. đ
The leads fail to recreate the magic. But going by the pankhi hyper on FB, I think they believe the chemistry between the leads is scorching. The female lead is not funny but rather annoying. I was never annoyed with Khushi, well maybe I was later on in the show when the show was going down the hill and they had to resort to stupid antics.
Now we get into the controversial topic again. The female lead's clothes are just too fancy in my opinion. Given their financial background, I find it very hard to believe that she could afford such fancy clothes. KKGSR never had fancy clothes until she got married. Khushi looked the part, Pankhi unfortunately doesn't. And her antics don't look "natural" to me. Her acting unlike Sanaya's is not seamless. Sanaya gets into her character so well. She took time getting into the character of Paro but finally I can see Paro and not Sanaya or KKGSR.
BTW, why doesn't the male lead wear suits? I mean ASR ALWAYS, ALWAYS wore suits. He was seldom wearing casuals. Poor ASR in BSB hardly gets to wear suits. Eto gangly he can't pull it off, I guess. Pankhis is quite hefty, poor ASR is so gangly. Rabb ne bana di Jodi.
The other day in RR I thought Rudra was going to lifet Paro in his arms but sadly he didn't. My mum was sitting beside me and she told me how easy it was for the male leads to carry Sanaya since she was so skinny. đ Poor ASR from BSB has a tough time carry the hefty Pakhi. đ¤Ł
