Of course she totally took control on what was supposed to be Shrenu's scene - revelation when Shlok declares that Aastha matters in front of his mom.

Plus her character is definitely more layered. Feels like she is a puppet, handled masterfully by her Husband. Of course this is based on the gine chune 3 episodes I have watched.

Characters need to grab you in your first watch to get interested and in the case of version 2.0 it is definitely Mrs and Mr Agnihotri Sr, both actors deliver their on screen complexities quite well.
