What starts off on a sombre note with Buaji expressing deep reservations about Khushi continuing her job of training Lavanya after the police incident, quickly turns into festive affair with Nani and Anjali bathing the Bal Gopal and tenderly placing him on the swing...Khushi pitches in, and prompts Lavanya to do her bit. Asked by Nani to fetch the asli ghee, Khushi runs into ASR and noticing some ghee on his sleeve, promptly deems it to be Bal Gopal personal invitation to his Aarti. Of course, ASR will have no part of it...and Khushi is outraged, both for herself and for her dear friend Baal Gopal
"Aaj Baal Gopal ka janamdin hai...kamse kum uska toh khyal kiya hota...itni berukhi se baaat ki!!"
Before we know it, a plan to avenge this insult is born in her khurafaati dimag. She innocently suggests to Lavanya how wearing a sari and getting Arnav to the aarti might pole vault her into Nani's good books. La is suitably impressed, but her direct approach to convincing ASR falls flat...so Khushi is on the ready with plan B. She tricks ASR into coming down from his room and attending the festivities. He, of course, is less than pleased, but Khushi is most satisfied with herself and shares her success with BG . But not before she and ASR instinctively move together to save the diya flame, and share a small RV😃
I remember during the original airing, how most were up in arms about Khushi forcing her beliefs on ASR...how she was intolerant and had no business dragging ASR to the Arti. I had made a post then and said: In her small little world, Devi Mayya rules and Bal Gopal with his natkhat pranks and cherubic knaveries, defines mischief and fun. It is inconceivable to her that a person can deny God and claim to be a master of his own life and destiny. He is the first man she has encountered who thinks this way and true to her intrepid, presumptuous spirit, she is all set to reform him . She tried to argue with him at the Dargah too...
Loved the episode...lot of material to chew on and relish. From Buaji's very real concern for her Sanka Devi, to Shyam's frenzied yet chilly promise to Kanhaji that he intends to acquire Khushi, no matter the cost. ASR's bewildered anger at Khushi's ability to wrap most members of his household around her little finger, that finds an outlet in his verbal thrashing of Lavanya. In between, there was the calm, sweet Payal-Akash flirting, and rounding off nicely the cuteness theme was Baal Gopal himself...
Total paisa vasool TV!! What made it better this time around was of course 52 inches of HD awesomeness!! 😃
