Moving quickly past the success of Aashiqui 2, director Mohit Suri is busy with his next film. So much so, that just before leaving for his honeymoon on Wednesday, he held a narration with the film's hero, Sidharth Malhotra. The discussion ended with the duo talking to us about Mohit's twisted take on love and Sidharth's villainous side in the film, tentatively titled The Villain. The movie is slated for a summer 2014 release.

"It's the story of a villain who falls in love and finds a hero within," says Mohit, adding, "I met Sidharth when I was shooting Aashiqui 2. I realised that apart from his looks, there's an emotional depth to him which was required for this character. You'll see this student turn into a villain and then into a largerthan-life hero with this film."

In turn, Sidharth is excited to work with Mohit, who's the toast of the town these days. He says, "Mohit is the first director I met who comes across as a regular guy. Perhaps it's his age or how he works. He never auditions, but just goes by the vibe. He's the best person to bring out the bad in me."

Both have moved away from their comfort zones — Mohit from the Bhatt family and Sid from Karan Johar's periphery — to experiment with something new and they are confident this will be an interesting outing. The music is also a highlight. "I'll not make a movie if I can't listen to its music. This film is no different," concludes Mohit.

Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, the film will go on floors in September.
