Amritha -- I agree with you. They are really emotionless. I saw very few smiles. And about the men and girls 🤣 I've got to agree. One of the people I met there told me, Singaporean women will marry anyone who owns a flat and has a permanent membership to one of the exclusive clubs there. It seems quite shallow to me. Is that true?

I see a lot of PDA here. My home is near the sea, and every evening without fail there are so many couples cuddling about -- infact they go beyond that. I was walking with my dad and with so many people there that we had to wait for them to pass. And a guy there I suddenly noticed had his hand on .. Well you get the idea I hope. Anyway, I have since started on morning walks. Fewer couples. Some of them start up with their "romancing" even under the 12 o'clock sun!

Like I said, I can't authoritatively comment on people's nature here! But yeah it could be true.knowing the cost of living here! Owning a flat, would be a huge bonus I guess, considering the rent alone is so high here! But if membership to an exclusive club is a condition for marriage, that is pretty shallow!

The thing I know is that, the Government encourages families to have more kids, by providing more subsidies for families with 3 or 4 kids! Here too immigrants are pouring in, I think they want more of Singapore Citizens hence the subsidies! So the norm is to have atleast 3 kids, if you are a Singapore citizen! And here they consider girls to be good luck and based on Chinese culture the custom is to receive money, for marrying off your daughters not the other way around! So there are some contrasts here from India, and I like those contrasts!

about back in 1998... me coming from India.. that was a big

shocker for me in the US..

club... he must be rich... so why not marry him???😆
