I know what you mean by being selected by the good ones.

My dad is 64 or 65 and poor man still works. I do see him struggle and that makes me want to go and work or I would be a housewife!

I am grateful to my parents, they always have given me a comfortable life and then i am also wise and dont bother them much ;)


No masters and phd and even undergraduate degree is expensive. The tuition is alot. Majority of the ppl take loans for school. I have a 5 grand loan on my head and that was for a year!

the govt pays for my school right now. just one year i didnt get enough aid and had to take out a loan.

Also its hard to get into masters and phd programs.

Wow, your dad is pretty old and it's really astonishing he is working at that age. Do you have really older siblings? My dad's just 49.

Whoa! That's expensive. So how does this government aid work? Do you have to write a scholarship exam or something like that?

My sister is 27. My parents just had kids late...

No. we just fill out a form every yr. Everyone gets some money unless they really dont need it.
For scholarships you do have to write essays, have good grades and letters of recommendations from professors. thats a whole different process.

Life in america is not easy 😊

yeah, I've heard about that. My aunt lives in Canada with her three small kids and I heard how tough life is over there. So I can imagine in America.

So is your elder sister working or only your dad works in the family? So how do you manage your expenses?

No she doesnt work. She did her medical school in India. She needs to write some exams in order to get a license to practice medicine here. So she is preparing for that.

My dads the only one who works. There are some times where we to struggle but the rest is fine. None of us siblings are spenders. My brother's and my schools are paid so he doesnt have to worry about fees. And then he has some money saved from before, so he uses that when he is in dire need.

My parents had gone to india for 6 months and me and my sister had to manage the finances and boy I realized then what my dad goes through!
