The Plot
Raunak (Khandelwal) breathes music. With the help of his city friends and Charlie (Kapoor), he starts climbing higher up the charts and the music industry while drowning his issues in drugs and alcohol. By the time it's interval, he has lost his hearing due to a hereditary disorder. And then he meets a born-deaf Soha, who teaches him how to lipread. And the rest is all about how he finds music again with all his senses.

+2 To The Filmmakers, for adding the "inspired by" credits unlike others in the past who claim to accidentally make replicas without even seeing the originals. Another four for casting actual musicians.
+4 Because We Need To See Rajeev Khandelwal,more on screen. He gets the fame-hungry small town boy very well on the big screen
+5 To Midival Punditz And Karsh Kale, the real stars of this film. Plus five because we finally have a music movie with good music.
+5 For The Guts, to have talking heads as a narrative device. Minus 10 because it still went a bit wrong, Pete Tong.
+6 Because Some Dialogues were wellwritten and delivered. Minus four because some of it was not.
+2 To Raunak's Dark Passenger and his conversations with Raunak, but the badger was cooler. Minus two because he was like a bad halloween costume. Minus four because the set design for the club was meh.
-10 For The Colours And The Mood, The charm of this film was in making everything look real and overwhelming but that doesn't show. Also, what's up with those Aronofsky- esque drug and alcohol intercuts?
+5 Because The Love Story, subplot was brilliantly shot, cut and presented. Hope to see a good romcom out of this director soon. No kidding.
+6 To Soha Ali Khan for the speech defect, the hair and the charm with which she eases into the story. The perfect indie movie heroine.
+4 Because This Was An Ambitious Project to chase and there was no preaching involved except for Charlie's last speech.
+4 To Using The Audio Track Well. as Raunak is going deaf. Minus 10 because what happened to that brilliant device after he went deaf?
