Achha if you're bored, why don't you watch some show on Hulu?
Lol. I don't think I've ever been repulsed by a show and then gone on to love it; as you say, we usually have valid reasons for liking / not liking what we do. But kabhi kabhi we end up being totally turned around by a chink in the armour - the good acting, the lead actor/actress, the songs, the cinematography etc. And we end up confused as to how we got there 😆
LOL I haven't either...but then I guess my repulsion was all based on the concept...I had not watched a single scene post the leap and I refused to do so also because I was quite sure that wouldn't change my mind no matter what anyone told me.
The total turnaround still has me in shock...I think what shocked me was the treatment of the scenes...the concept is what it is...but the way they handled it with the layers to the characters and their relationships almost has a greek tragedy/theatrical effect to it...The acting is very good...from the main actors to the character ones...the bg music is superb and adds to the charged aspect of the scenes...especially the scenes b/w K and G...and it's not charged with what I had expected to be typical "hawt" tension...it's been different.
It's so sad...think of BALH...we see such shoddy treatment in direction, the way bg score is used...if only Ekta focussed on production values...it makes such a difference to the viewing experience too.
It has been part of the reason why I've grown to like Gulaal...the story has been built up well to the current high point too. Remains to be seen if it gets lame from this point on or not😆
