Alright, I can see what you mean here. *thinks* Chalo, I can understand that my parents and my sisters are genuinely happy about me being a part of their life (in fact I really hope they are.. 😆) and they want to celebrate. So I can cut a cake for them (minus the "Happy Birthday" song!! *shudders*), in fact if that was all I might even enjoy it 😃. But what I don't understand is all these airey ghairey people who haven't seen me or talked to me or wondered if I am dead or alive in years, suddenly feel the urge to be giggle-toed happy about my birthday? Umm.. Why..? 😕

Like it or not, your b'day is a special day....you aren't born EVERYDAY😛.....there is nothing about being showy or not to me in this....waise bhi there are only a few ppl in life who genuinely matter....like your family and close friends....why run away from them on the one day when they are trying to do something special for you....even if you want to run and hide in a corner, you should show appreciation for the gesture someone makes from the heart.

Off course yaar! I definitely appreciate it when my sister spends hours making a special hand made gift for my birthday. No matter how seemingly inexpensive (like a house she made out of a juice box or a glitter-glue decorated aluminium foil) her gifts are, they are still all over my room. Lol! Toh I really appreciate the effort they put in. But throwing a party and asking me to socialize is not something I'd enjoy. People who I'm close to i.e. my parents and sisters know that. So they don't ask me to do that anyways. They let me be on my birthday for the most part because they know that's what I enjoy. Mera phudda is with random DISTANT aunties that suddenly find out that it's your birthday and all of a sudden they take it upon themselves to host a party for me without asking my parents if it's convenient for them and me to drive there after work and then they use that as a "I did this for them" story for years to come. That is what I meant. I don't need that - I don't need to be used for brownie points in the family. My family i.e my parents and sisters, know what I like. And they keep me happy. Us k ilawa.. I guess I don't really care for them - but I've had family issues with them since I was young and back in Pakistan, so I guess like Mash said.. The issue is deep-seeded and personal.. 😳😳

Now if you throw a party for me, toh rest assured I'll come running! 😳 *hopes the stealthily placed power-of-suggestion works this time* 🤣

As for the rest, lol....well personally toh I've never had random acquaintances or distant family relatives planning anything for me of that sort, so I guess I can't say much on the issue....lol....I toh was just speaking of close family and close friends :-)

Achha yeh sab chhodo....dude watch LTLLLLLL...I so badly want to discuss the Dutta scenes with you....MR is outdoing himself in these epis....what an actor😍
