I can't help it! I get curious about such things a lot, especially modern myths and urban legends.

I remember the last time we had a partial solar eclipse, our's was the only car in an otherwise traffic infested city 😲 Everyone stayed indoors for fear of solar radiation (atomic bomb style), premature fetus abortion (even the not pregnant people!), blindness (even with protective glasses??) and what not. I was out and about and even looked at the sun directly for a few seconds, the intensity made me see spots for a while but that's the normal case if you stare at the mid-day sun, didn't grow any extra arms though.

Ekta-ji, I haven't been in a lab since college and that was just a computer lab! But speaking of labs, here's one! (you all will be bored of my poetry dropping pretty soon, you see I have almost 16 years worth of written things 😃)

Chemistry Syndrome

Chemistry teacher goes on and awn
If she could from dusk to dawn
Covalent, Ionic, Van der waal's forces
Given to us in major doses
Boiling point low, vapour pressure high
Man, it feels like I'm going to die
Crystals, Diamonds and Graphite!!
Whatever happened to our freedom right??
Copper flame blue, surrounded by green
How could anyone be so mean?
Hydrogen is, very reactive
With each passing day we become inactive
Oxygen stands as the overall hero
And my social life is down to zero
It would'nt be so bad
If only she had
The slightest clue
To why we are blue
The portion is vast, wer'e going too slow
Just 18 months more to go!!

I love watching Eclipses, and at times stayed up whole nights to catch lunar eclipses too 😆 We have a big space laboratory in our Univ, and they are open during all celestial events. I remembering sitting on my terrace in the cold during the meteor showers, though I could just spot one meteor the whole night...I was disappointed

One o f my frnds was an avid star-gazer too, and finally he succeeded in getting one of those bigger asteroids around Jupiter named after himself....but that was long back in 2003-2003 😕 He's a geek 😆

Yes, meteor showers are always a let down...specially when u wake up the next day with a newspaper full of images of all the meteors that showered everywhere but where u live 😕

Exactly, and thats precisely the reason I hate summers. The iron in my body gets heated up easily 😆
