LOL, yes Bollywood is a good thing to discuss because Mohit ji does not like it too much. 😉😆
I read Spiderwick Chronicles over the winter break and I LOVED Series of unfortunate events. I have read many children books earlier, but I can't remember all the names. I have read most books about Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. 😆 They were fun read at the time. 😳😳
I'm not much of a reader, though. Though, I am quite the bookworm, according to all my friends. 😆😆

I have read all those too.. including almost all of Enid Blyton ...and that was quiet recently😛
Let me see in Fantasy..I have read
The Percy Jackson Series(you would really like those)
Artemis Fowl series(you would like these too)
Bartimaeus triology(You would really like these)
Gemma doyle series
Original Shannara series
Safe keeper Series
The Keepers series
The sword of truth(you may not like these ....the later books just dron)
The wheel of time series

I have the fablehaven series in hand..haven' read them yet

@PM... Gosh!

@Smita ji: Pinki was here yesterday... If I may point out: You were MIA. ☺️ Things will get better... bella will come as soon as her work-pressure declines. Ekta will be back... She is in santiago-land and some expensive cities in Europe. And, RW is here everyday... she showed up even today... You noticed didn't you?
She posted a smiley, but she did something... so, we're doing well! 😃

We're doing well as of now. 😃😃 I finished reading the whole CC in about three days, which probably would not have been possible if it was too many posts and too many threads. As they say, slow and steady wins the race. 😉😃😃

Well, Mohit ji. You are just smarter and more cleverer than us. Is it nice to rub it in?? 😆 (Inspired by my favourite book) 😆😆😆

He is on his way to being a mad scientist..We should help him along😆.
Btw Mohit ji how is your eye doing.

Ah, thanks so much for the suggestions. I'll definitely read them. 😃😃😃 I've heard a lot about the Percy Jackson series, but haven't had a chance to read them. Will look into the other series too. 😃

Mohit ji, I hold you in contempt. 😆
I'm actually glad the way it was told, so no complaints on my side. 😉😃😃

Ekta's serials had so much of the vamp returning in different forms... Now that is exactly what Voldemort did in the first 4 books, until the rat-person brought him back to life... You see the similarity, Aladin ji??
And Book 5 made Hogwarts the most boring place to be in... Seriously, the school I went to, with a thousand restrictions on everything, was a better place in comparison... I hate JKR for doing that to the beloved Hogwarts...
And Book 7 seemed to tear apart every shred of good story-telling that JKR showed in the first 4 books... It was such a torture that I was waiting for it impatiently to end...

And you know, unknowingly... I DL-ed a book called "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", which was so full of one promiscuous double entrende after another that I was led to wonder how small children are reading such stuff these days. I realized later that that was a spoof for perverted adults...
But then I read the original, composed by JKR, and I kinda believed that the basic story of the spoof was infinitely better than the one JKR had to tell... I wish there was a trade-off; the story of the spoof minus the double entrende; and voila! We'd have had a good HP5! ⭐️

😆😆😆😆😆😆 Mohit ji, you are too funny.
I have to disagree heartily, though I have not read the spoof. Not sure I'd want to either. 😆😆
I wanted to read the book even today, but then I figured I might as well drop a line or two. Of course, I ended up dropping more than that. 😆😆
We'll agree to disagree on this. Afterall, I did not read the suggested book, so we're square (not literally, though). 😉😆😆😆
p.s. Voldermort is only there in the first book. The second book is more to do with the diary with his memory. Third is all about Sirius. Voldemort only makes a 'real' comeback in the fourth book. 😉 Rat person is Wormtail. 😆😆

Even Volemort wasn't devious enough to change his height/Wt/Voice everytime he appeared..Which is what Ekta's vamps do.

Personally I liked Book 5 more than the previous books..you had more villains and more things going on and Harry was coming into his own.

Oh you read the spoof too 😆😆 ..I think it was quiet enterprising 😛...it was obviously marketed at Harry crazed females😆

I've read Enid Blytons ages ago, but nothing else... And there was no way, I'd have guessed that Smita ji was so majorly into child-fiction... 😲

Was it? I don't think I would have enjoyed it too much then. I am thankful that Rowling kept all the romance stuff to a bare minimum in her novels, or it would have ruined it for me. 😆😆
My favourite in the series are from Book 4 to 7. 😃😃 If she had rushed the story, it would have seemed forced and I don't think it would have made such an impact.

These are the sort of details that one would forget... but in principle, the problems of book 2 ended only when the diary was killed... so that was Voldemort too...
And in book 3... I forgot... Yes, he isn't there... But we're all scared of him anyway... like an K-Ekta vamp...

(I should read the books again, perhaps to argue more efficiently!) 😛
