Though the later books turned too dark.
Plus I am a very boring aunt..I normally give books as gifts ...helps to be in the loop

I did read the spoof, but I didn't know that it was one... until somebody told me...
And, I seriously doubt that that was intended for Harry crazed females... Ron and Hermione were at it as much as Ginny and Harry... and Wormtail, the rat-person was called upon to sniff body fluids that might indicate which girls have lost their virginity... The spoof was that spooky (and believe me, I've really toned this bit down!)... I believe, most harry crazed females would lose their sleep after reading it...

My favourite in the series are from Book 4 to 7. 😃😃 If she had rushed the story, it would have seemed forced and I don't think it would have made such an impact.

I didn't know it was a spoof at first..and when I started reading..I thought whats up with JK.
this reads like a bonafide romance novel.
Harry and Emma have a thing going in the book😆 which is what told me it was a spoof.

I'm wondering whether we read the same spoof or just the same one with reversed names (after the spoof author realized his/her mistake!)... 😛... In the one that I had, it was Harry and Ginny, but it read like a sleazy romance novel too...

Actually, I don't remember now... Will need to find that spoof and remind myself again...

@Aladin ji: The HP books are in Delhi... I didn't bring them along. I read the last HP book when I went back home for vacation last year...
