In general though, I've found when I get my hopes high too much for something, I always end up getting disappointed. So, I've kinda stopped worrying so much about these things. You work hard, and hope for the best. If it is meant to be, it will happen. If it doesn't work, then it probably wasn't meant to be. 😃

That is the right attitude... Somehow, if you are younger and you read this book, you start expecting wonderful things to happen. (Our Pinki is an apt example. Almost all of us read the book with a cynical spirit, but seeing how inspired Pinki was, we all tended to mute our criticism...) 😆

@Bold, blue: I agree! 😃

Not necessarily. Though, it does work out that way, but in hindi movies, things always work out in the favour of the lead protagonists. 😆😆
The story is a copy of Karz, to quite an extent, except the role of Rishi Kapoor is enacted by Deepika. It's alright, if you enjoy the reincarnation stories. I did not enjoy it because Karz happens to be one of my favourite movies, and I did not appreciate the way it was butchered. 😆😆

😆😆😆 I am incapable of reading anything with cynical spirit. I guess I am easily pleased, hence I'm stuck on children stories. However, they have their own magic about it. I guess we should know the difference between fiction and reality.
I noticed you did not like Book 5 and Book 7 of the HP series, and I realized that Order of the Pheonix happens to be Book 5. Though, I am loving the experience of reading it for the 100th time (it's an exaggerated number, of course, but I have read it more than 20 times for certain). 😆😆

Smita ji, it's wonderful to see you here. 🤗🤗🤗
I've enjoyed all your posts and discussions. 😃😃 If you did not pose those interesting questions, I doubt we could have managed all the wonderful discussions that followed.
Oh, I can talk to a log if I want to, so it is easy for me to discuss the book. 😆😆😆
p.s. I should admit that I have not read the book yet, but I got the idea from all the wodnerful analyses and posts about the book. 😳😃😃

I didn't actually like book 5 at all... Sirius Black dies in it, and the book is based on a rather flimsy premise... Why go through all the trouble to get hold of a prophesy... Whatever it is, is meant to happen... EVEN I know that, so I couldn't help but wonder how silly the Dark Lord really is to commission such a futile chase...

Besides I think JKR really stretched it too far... The story could've been told in fewer books... 😃

Abt the posts ab kya karein .....Blot ji here was going all serious and looking in to the meaning of life.I had to come up with bollywood numbers to put a stop to that.

Btw I love fantasy and children's books too.

Smita ji, we have to do this... to justify the name of the thread... but not for long I think...

What is your latest news??
Mine is that I tried to ensnare two new recruits, but they were both cunning enough to see through my evil designs... 😛😆😆

She made a billion dollars in the process and bought the joy of reading back in fashion...That absolves her of everything.
