@Aladin ji: The HP books are in Delhi... I didn't bring them along. I read the last HP book when I went back home for vacation last year...

Even I had not read them in a while. I have watched all the movies so far, but I have not enjoyed the latest ones that much, as compared to the books. They miss out so many details.

In comparison, LOTR movies I enjoyed much more than the books. I have all the extended DVDs, and I think The Return of the King is about 5 hours long, but still, I love to watch them.

I have not yet read the Chronicles of Narnia, but I really want to. 😃😃 I'll buy them over the summer most likely.

Well I got burned once..I gave the Ashok K banker's Ramayana series as a gift to my niece(It is the Ramayana ..How bad can it be)
Well My cousin called and said the books are a little risque for her kid(she obviously didn't know her kid was into The twilight series . ..which has more disturbing ideas then the Ramayan can ever have. )

Do read Banker's books though..they seem good ..I have read the first two in the series.

I have read five f the Narnia books......couldn't read after that.
I would love to read the Eragorn series though.

I think I've only read about two of the books in the Narnia series. I would love to read the Eragorn series as well. I liked the movie and I'm sure the books would be much more detailed and satisfying. 😃😃

I was a bit scared that I'd be such a misfit in the Reading Group. 😆 I'm glad you also enjoy similar books as I do. 😃😃

Don't worry about that..We read all kind of books and I think we should experiment with our reading list there should be something for everyone.
I read a lot of science fiction too and I know ..no one in the group is into that.
But I hope to sneak in a disguised book some day.

I enjoyed some of the science fiction movies. I think I did read some books when I was younger, but as I grew up, my reading list comprised more and more of children books. 😆😆

And you have a lot of company too ..Kezia(ashrozia) is majorly into HP and Pinks is into Twilight
and Smitha80 is a bona fide Vampire lover if you see one.
and I am sure there must be many more closet fantasy readers too.😆
