I'm not one of those bitchy, bra-burning feminists or anything - I do have a soft corner for men (especially the hotties :P) and I acknowledge that men and women are born different. So obviously they can't be equals in every sense of the word. But dear lord when it comes to men violating their women's rights, it pisses me off so, so much.

This scene is just ... ugh ... highly disturbing. Sid has become a walking talking example of what NOT to look for in a potential husband. The way he degrades Riddhima in public ... wow, I'm surprised she hasn't kicked him in the you-know-what yet ... lol

^^The problem with that scene is the patchy writing and KW's creepy expressions.....oh well, sense can't be expected from this show anyways.....so they'll show all sorts of random nonsense....sometimes Riddhima is a shrieking shrew flinging allegations of rape around and sometimes she is randomly acting all 'perfect bharatiya naari/pativrata patni' types :S......Sid for his part seems to have lost what little marbles he had ever since he got taken in by this Riddhima namoona....haha

This scene might bother me if I gave a rat's a$$ about this pathetic show...which I don't.....so tra la la la :P

Actually I watched the rest of the scene now.....basically what this is coming down to is that Sid is so pissed off and hurt after Ridz's suicide attempt at their wedding that he's lost patience with her and is lashing out at her every chance he gets....in the hands of better writers and better actors, these scenes actually might have made more sense......but since this is CMG we're talking about, that can't really be expected.

Sid is currently trying to humiliate her in every way he can cuz he feels that she's dealt humiliation after humiliation to him as well....the ultimate one being that she'd rather end her life than marry him.....so it's not really a matter of a 'man violating a woman's right' here as much as it is one angry/hurt human being lashing out at another.....It shows in the way he constantly stresses on the sarcasm while calling her the 'perfect patni' etc.....if he really was hell bent on humiliating her into submission as a woman, he wouldn't have stopped her from wiping his shoes......he's basically pushing and prodding at her all the time to hurt her but he stopped short of actually going ahead and having her clean his shoes. As for the rest, he's behaving like a retard high on bhaang....which goes along perfectly with the the usual retardedness of this show anyways😆😆

I don't care much about this show either but I used to get my dose of ROFL from there. Now toh it repulses me because of all the yelling, slapping, pushing and shrieking going on between these two. I don't get why everything on desi soaps has to be so physically violent. Why Ridz had to slap Sid 93587395673 times and why he's dragging / throwing her around makes no sense. How can two people move past that and fall in love? 😕

Oh well, this is CMG after all. Why am I even analyzing it so much.

Hmm ... you did bring up some good points! I hadn't thought of Sid's behaviour that way. It makes more sense now.

I still think that he doesn't have to keep using the pati-patni stuff over and over again. Maybe if he just humiliated her as a person and not as a wife per say, it wouldn't annoy me. Couples fight, bicker and humiliate each other all the time on TV shows. PM, MN and AR did too, but they didn't offend a particular gender.

Well yeah, this is CMG so not really worthy of in-depth analysis anyways....lol....but basically this entire Sid-Ridz lowe story started on a note of humiliation only.....they've been humiliating each other since day one....so I guess the genius creatives of this show are just continuing on that path...haha....I think he uses the pati-patni stuff over and over again cuz he feels that she basically insulted the very institution of marriage herself when she tried to commit suicide so that's made him very bitter, hence this lashing out....I'm sure they'll turn him into a lovelorn puppy dog soon enough and that should make all the fans dying for Sid-Ridz romance pretty happy....haha

Dude, what they are doing now is way beyond the bickering stage....that was their early meetings.....now it's more hate filled bitterness....especially from Sid's side....Ridz has become a mostly expressionless 'mahaan patni' types....haha

My day was okay. I was hit on by a random guy at work and he asked me out after giving me his email address. I don't know how to turn him down. And I'm a little scared. I checked his info in the database and apparently he uses marijuana and is schizophrenic! Where I work is a place for mentally and physically disabled people to receive financial support from the government, so people often show up to apply and collect their cheques. I hope he won't start stalking me or anything. *shudders*
