LOL so it's better to presume I'm working than asking me if I'm hunting for a job?? :S ....alright LadyM....whatever works for you.

Sasural Genda Phool has already started?? I had no idea....I'll check out the epis then.

I read that KSG news too.....I don't think it's true...if they bring him back, he'll only be paired with Riddhima....or he really will be crucified alive by his beloved fangirls....haha

Sorry Anu. That's just the way I am. I wish I had a little directness to my character. Good luck with your job hunting Anu. And I truly mean it. I know how hard it is out there. Which is why I am so scared in the first place to look for something else.

Sasural Genda Phool seems like a nice serial. It's out on YT. Ragini as Suhana is adorable. Her antics seem a little OTT in the first episode, but that's sort of to drive home the point that her family background is much more liberal than Jay as Ishan's. Ishan is a perfectly undervalued character. His family seems to like him but constantly ridicules him for not being able to get married. Reminds me of a very old movie Swami - Girish Karnad and Shabana Azmi. Where Shabana's character is very chirpy and full of life. She loves a guy. But circumstances force her to marry Girish. Girish is the elder step-son. He is very meek and mellow. He is not exactly mistreated, but somehow he is left to his own devices. How Shabana hates him at first, but slowly starts developing a liking for him is the story. She comes to care for him as a mother would for a son. In the end, her ex-lover proposes her to elope with him, thinking she's miserable in Girish's household. Initially she agrees, but she cannot leave her husband due to the affection she develops for him.

Let's just drop the topic, LadyM....there are some things you and me will never figure out about each other. We are the way we are :-)

Thanks for the good luck and the synopsis, LadyM. I'm not aware of the movie you're talking about but I'll check out the show anyways.

Hi Anuji- I finally mustered courage to freshen up my resume today. Will start looking around from tomorrow :-)

Btw, did you look at the pictures of the celebrities dressed for Filmfare? They SO want to ape the Oscars. Red carpet, unique gowns, paparazzi et al. Soon they'll start announcing the best dressed and the worst dressed celebrities as well!

That's very good, LadyM :-) I hope you find the kind of job you'd enjoy doing now :-)

As for the bollywood dress sense....LOL the Oscars don't exactly have a copyright on a red carpet and glitzy glamorous clothes....that aside, the bollywood stars still usually come across as wannabes with over the top makeup save a few rare ppl....lol.....and I'm pretty sure there are already 'best dressed' and 'worst dressed' lists floating around in some magazines there too...lol

Yeah true Oscars don't have a copyright per se, but the concept is definitely catching on in B-town. Tabu usually looks glamorous. And Vidya Balan manages to look tacky (in spite of her charming looks) Kajol usually doesn't care and Rekha looks like she's dressed for a wedding. Rest of the crowd toh - near mind! The star wives look like pukka wannabes most of the times.

I have always wondered - we have some of the best fashion designers and yet our actors manage to look out of place at the international events. Why? Why can they not carry their charm across the globe?

Edit: Chalo me off for the night. See ya tomorrow!
