When Harry Met Sally is overrated. I did like it, until Hum Tum ruined it for me. Ghost is another great romantic film. They just don't make movies like that anymore. Sleepless in Seattle is another one that I really enjoyed when I was younger. Oh, and lets add An Officer and a Gentleman to this list. Man, the 90's (and 80's) were so friggin' awesome.
OMG! I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE SAY ANYTHING! Of course, the genius is Cameron Crowe, and I'm a John Cusak fangirl as well. How could I ever forget this scene?
'I gave her my heart. She gave me a pen'
Sheer brilliance.
I love that scene. That was the sweetest thing ever, with the stereo outside her window. Agreed, Crowe was definitely a genius. Kate Hudson owes her whole career to him. I thought she would be the next big thing after Almost Famous before she went and become the rom-com type.👎🏼
Wait, how did Hum Tum ruin it for you? I contend that When Harry Meets Sally is probably one of favorite romantic films and one I will never tire of watching. Though I don't own it, I have it recorded and have watched it many times. Hum Tum was awful. And I have no hesitation saying it.
Agreed on what you said about An Officer and a Gentleman and Sleepless in Seattle. I miss that era so much too. 😭
