I agree with this Kanika and what you said about Ghost too. But Julia was painful to watch. And with this I am out.😃

RAIN MAN!! Have I seen it? Is that a question you should be asking, really? Isn't my obsession with Tom Cruise blantantly clear at this point? I love Rain Man, and the film is precisely why I love Tom Cruise.

The film is so simple in structure it really needed something special to pull it out of the prospective banality of being "just another road movie about finding oneself".... the way it ackled its subjects with very sensitive hands and splicing a believable human concept.

God, I loved Dustin Hoffman. I've already established, time and time again, that it's quite difficult to pull of a 'restrained retard', without overdoing it, or being too melodramtic, but Dustin's performance was really is believable, both moving and clever rolled into one artistic result. BTW, I still think that Dustin's performance was actually supporting, and Tom Cruise was the lead. It was his character which propelled the story forward and underwent a transformation (from being a shallow bas***d to a very emotive human being). It's one of my favorite TC performances, a very challenging role, that demanded much conviction...

Since my youtube is not functioning well, I anticipate that I posted the correct scene, but I absolutely love these moments:

I'm trying to find the ending on youtube, but alas, no avail. But since yo'uve seen the film, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Absolutely moving....

And of course, TC was maha cute in the film, although, it's hard to beat out Top Gun.

Uff!!

Soha, I love that scene you chose. Sigh... I did, and I wish the film had gotten more recognition this year. Actually, I think Brad Pitt is a better comic actor than people give him credit for, but he wasn't bad in this.

I agree, Nimz. The film did not get the recognition it deserved, since people labelled it as a rip-off of Forrest Gump. Have you seen this?

It's pure laziness by passive aggressive internet cynics to completely disregard anything Bejamin Button has to offer because they saw some video that takes certain narrative continuity liberties in making the unfair case that it's a total facsimile of one of the screenwriter's prior celebrated efforts. I admit a correspondence exists, but only to a inconsequential extent, and it shouldn't have been overblown and used as a basis for discrediting the film by people who either haven't seen it or were out to get it right from the beginning because of its anticipatory status as the crown jewel of awards season.

I loved the film, and I love this quote from the film:

I was thinking how nothing lasts.... and what a shame that is...
