Swayam and I were sitting on the bed in my new room having a friendly chat. How I wish I was living with him and not that Khadoos Singhania. I mean, he is damn sweet unlike his best friend and I really don't understand how he could be friends with someone like Reyansh. The best part is that I was enrolled in the same college as Swayam. The worst part is that Reyansh also goes to the same college.

The ringing a phone disturbed our peaceful conversation. Swayam's face altered from a smile to his eyes widening in shock as he glared at the phone screen. Curiously, I peeped to see whose call it was.

'My siren' read the letters in white with a picture of a beautiful girl on the screen.

"Girlfriend?" I asked with a playful smile.

He nodded positively in a slow motion.

"Late for a date?" I asked him again.

He again nodded in the same manner.

"Gotta go. Bye!" he said before sprinting out of the room.

I laughed whole heartedly seeing the situation the poor guy was in. My laughter died down as I realised I was alone in the house with Reyansh.

I strode into my room and plonked myself on my bed. Who the hell does she think she is?! Standing in my house, she answered back to me! But in a way, I'm glad to know that she will be staying with me. Now she will know the consequences of messing with Reyansh Singhania. Welcome to Mumbai Miss Taani Shekhawat. A smirk played on my face as evil plans started to cook up in my head.

My chain of thoughts broke as I heard my phone beep. It was a message from my friend Sara. Sorry, girlfriend Sara.

Rey, Mujhe urgently America jaana padh raha hai. Dad is really unwell. Pataa nahin kab lautungi. Please take care of yourself. I love you :) x

I pressed the 'send' button and gently tossed my phone on the side. Me and Sara have been dating for a month and not once did I say 'I love you' to her. I don't know why. She truly loves me and I also like her and all but I always end up comparing our relationship to Swayam and Sharon who both love each other immensely. I really don't know why I said yes to her proposal. Maybe I just did not want to hurt her feelings. Now, only God knows how our relationship is going to shape in the future.

Brushing my thoughts to the side, I realised that I had a problem called Taani to deal with. I reached for my phone knowing exactly who to call. Finally, the stupid pranks of the boys in our team will come to use I thought smirking.

The next morning, I stood near my car waiting for Taani to come out of the house. She seemed pretty shocked seeing me wait for her. Trust me, more shocks were yet to come. Ignoring me and the car, she started walking ahead.

"Oh hello Miss Jodhpur! Kabse yahaan tumhara intezaar kar raha hoon!" I shouted. "Agar college ke pehle hi din tumhe late hona hai toh fine, chali jao akeli. Phir mujhe matt kehna ke main tumhare wajeh se late hui etcetera etcetera."

I sat in the car knowing she would be in the passenger seat within twenty seconds. I was right. She walked back to the car and sat in the car, slamming the door shut without uttering a word.

"Calm down! Khud ka ghussa meri bechari gaari pe kyun nikaal rahi ho?" I asked as I started the engine.

"Kuch nahin honga tumhari rampyari ko" she retorted. "Ab chup chap gaadi chalao driver...I mean Reyansh."

I glared at her only to see her trying to hide her smirk. Man, this girl knows how to get on people's nerves. We both stayed silent for the rest of the journey. At least she was clever enough to realise that a conversation between the two of us would only mean a fight.

After a long fifteen minute drive, we finally reached college. All eyes were on us as we stepped out of the car.

"Yeh log hum dono ko aise ghoor kyun rahe hai?" she whispered, feeling weird on getting all the attention.

"College ka star koi aisi waisi ladki ke saath college mein enter karenga toh aise hi dekhenge na" I answered.

"College ka star? Please!" she scoffed. "Inn logon ko kahon ke apni apni aankhein check karwalein."

At that point, you have no idea how proud I was of myself for ignoring her comment.

"Whatever. Abhi mujhe kaam hai, tumhe khud jaana padega admissions office to sort out the formalities" I informed her. "Agar koi bhi kaam ya problem ho toh...don't you dare call me!"

"You would be the last person I'd call if I was in a problem!" she snapped back.

We both turned around and walked in opposite directions. Both probably wishing that we would not have to see each other's faces ever again. One wish that will never come true.

I quickly paced towards the rehearsal hall, relieved to see Vicky, Nil, Amar and Bharat already there. Just the pranksters you need in such situations. I walked into the rehearsal hall with a huge grin on my face seeing the preparations they were doing to make Taani's first day in college her last.

Vicky, whose back was facing me turned around. His look made me burst out in a loud laughter. There he was, wearing over-sized dull clothes, round glasses frame sitting on his nose and oily hair combed to one side.

"Kya style hai yaar Vicky" I laughed. "Agar tujhe koi bhi din Neha se break up karna ho toh uss ke saamne aise chale jaana."

Vicky adjusted his glasses and patted his hair to the side with a goofy smile on his face.

"Waise woh Taani hai kahaan?" asked Nil.

"Admissions office" I replied. "You guys know ke kya karna hai right?"

All four of them nodded positively.

"Arre tu fikar matt kar. Aaj uss ladki ka college main pehla aur aakhri din honga" assured Bharat.

"Sirf iss college mein nahin, iss sheher main bhi. Kal tak toh woh apna samaan pack kar ke Jodhpur waapis bhaag jaayengi" I said with a smirk.
