"Maa!! Paani please!" Vrinda said as she dropped herself on the fluffy sofa of her living room. It was another hectic day for her. Starting straight from her bed to gym followed by the simultaneous shoots for her three films. Who knew that one has to bear so much of tiring schedule after signing a three film deal with Yashraj. Only her God could help her.
With a usual welcoming smile on her face, her mother brought a glass of water along with a few wafers. She smiled seeing her concern. Before she could guess it, her mom started massaging her head as she drifted her attention to the delicious homemade phaphda and theplas. Despite of the strict instructions from her dietician, who was balancing her diet according to her character in movies, she couldn't just let go of this chance.
"Kitna kaam karegi? Ek din ki chutti bhi nahi le sakti kya?" Her mom asked.
"Arre maa! Abhi hi to waqt hai, khoob sara kaam karke, khoob sara naam kamane ka..Ye sab mujhe hi long term profit dega." She said with a smile.
"Krishna Ji hi bachae iss ladki ko, kaam kar kar ke pagal ho jaegi." She said while moving back to her kitchen. Vrinda was though least affected by her words. She was saying everything out of mother concern which is not unnoticed by anyone. But her mind was stuck on just two words of hers,' Krishna Ji'. The two words flooded her mind with all the back memories. Memories of taani, memories of D3. Obviously, how can she forget those days, which are ultimately responsible to bring her here. Her fame, her fans...everything followed that show. It ended years ago but the memories are still there. From palki mam's most obsessed selfie taker to gowda's bestie; from shan's antic ways of fun to vrushika's sweetest smile...she remember everything clearly though these people now are climbing stairs in their respective areas. But in this long list of memories, how can she forget one very important name- Amar. Her first co-star, and most probably the best one too. From his always encouraging words to his every possible ways to make her laugh, whether its making fun of her in gujju style or rather making her fall in embarrassing situations along with him; he was undoubtedly one of her best companions on set.
Her chain of thoughts was broken by sudden ringing of her phone. It was one of her co-star, or more appropriately her hero in one of the movies- Ranveer Singh.
"Abhi to ghar pahochi hu, aisa kaunsa bomb phat gaya, itni se der mein." She asked him as she massaged her head.
"Bomb nahi phata, lottery lag gayi...Adi ne kaha hai ki bags pack karo...kal urgently ek outdoor shoot ke liye nikalna hai." Ranveer explained him.
"Aise achanak..mujhe iske baare mein kuch kyun nahi pata?" She asked him getting a small shock.
"Vo aaj subah..Adi aur Bansal milke discuss kar rahe the..they thought ki ek song sequence alag se hill stations mein film karte hai..you know..for promotions and all..it will be very nice..aur next 2 weeks mein waha snowfall shuru ho jayega, which means ki hum waha shoot nahi kar payenge, that's why ye sudden plan hua hai...abhi abhi mujhe info mili..to meine Adi ko bola..mein hi tujhe bata dunga..everyone is busy in arrangements." He explained her.
"Par hum jaa kaha rahe hai??"
"The one and only place for lovers...Himachal."He said in the way old Bharat radio style. Vrinda smiled to his antics.
"Okay fine! I'll see you then at the airport tomorrow..see ya! " She kept down the call after bidding him a goodbye. With a small smile, she went to her room to start packing. Though going for the shoot, she was atleast getting a much desired holiday.
The guards cleared the way as Ranveer entered in Terminal-1 of Chatrapati Shivaji Airport along with his reel life love lady Vrinda. Though she had insisted to meet him at airport directly, how could he miss an opportunity to show his gentlemen moves to her. It's a universal fact that Ranveer Singh Flirts and love with all his heart. They moved towards the entry after getting their formalities done. A private plane was waiting for them. As soon as the door of the plane closed behind them, they found 200 people glaring at them.
"Oops! Sorry Guys.." Ranveer started giving explaination. "Ye sab na..Vrinda ki galti hai!!" Vrinda looked at him shocked. "Aur nahi to kya!!...vo..pehle to..itna time lagaya ready hone mein..as if seedhe plane Paris Fashion Week mein hi utrega..aur phir mujhe kehti hai..driver se bol drive slowly...don't worry..mein achhi wali class lunga iski." He said gaining the confidence but his long speech only resulted in now 201 people glaring at him, Vrinda included.
In the mid of all this, a pair of ears stood up in alarming situation as soon as they heard one name- Vrinda. His head moved from the Vogue Magazine cover- embracing Deepika Padukone to the start of aisle where two people stood, with one of them giving an explanation. From the voice, it was clear that he was the hero of the movie- Ranveer. He held back his gasp as he realised that the other person is none other than his idiot, gujju costar- Vrinda Dawda.
Ranveer told Vrinda to seal her lips, more appropriately pleaded her. She shrugged off his usual stupid dos and started walking towards her seat which was in the business class along with main cast of the movie. As she passed the people who had stopped glaring at Ranveer, her eyes stopped on a particular scene. A familiar face looking at her jaw dropped. This has to be a millenium moment. Stars were playing some destiny game and she surely was part if it along with him. None other than the world famous choreographer and her first ever co-star was right in front of her after so long-Kunwar Amarjeet Singh.
"Amar!! WTH!! What are you doing here??" She moved towards him giving him a light hug to which he responded warmly after getting back from the shock.
"Ye to mein bhi tujhse puch sakta hu!!" He said with a smirk despite of getting the entire scenario after seeing her with Ranveer who he already knew as the lead of this film, of which he was going to choreograph a song.
"Vo mein.." She started to say only to be interrupted by him.
"Yash Raj ki heroine... Ranveer Singh ki leading lady...Oh my god dawda!!Congratulations!!" He said joyfully. She smiled gesturing him a thank you.
"Tu to bahot badi ho gayi hai?!" He taunted playfully.
"Mein badi!! Ye to mera debut hai. Tu to kabka superstar ban chuka hai...IIFA mein performance...Filmfare award bhi jhapat liya..aur ek hi! Bolne ke liye phone bhi nahi kiya.." She snapped him back. He ruffled his hair as he realised that life has been so busy.
"Arre Vrinda!! Kuch to sharam kar. Mana ki aaj ka tera make up schedule meine bigad diya to kya kisi bhi bechare pe chillaegi!" Ranveer interfered with his all so famous drama queen avatar. She smacked him on his shoulder only to get his over melodramatic 'Ouch'.
"By the way, tu jaanti hai isse?" He asked her.
"Offcourse, Intro. Ranveer, this is kunwar...he is a dance choreographer, my first co-star and a very good friend and amar this is ranveer." She said quite formally.
"Hi, nice to meet you." Ranveer greeted him with a smile to which he responded warmly.
"Why don't you join us?" Ranveer suggested. Amar looked at Vrinda who nudged him to say yes.
"Okay fine.." He could only say that.
"Tum dono time pe bhi to aa sakte the na! Sirf isliye excuse kar raha hu kyunki ye sab urgently decide hua hai." Adi said. Vrinda held Adi in high regards. He was not just his producer, but also her mentor in Bollywood. He was basically making her ready for Btown along with Rajeev Bansal- their director, and Ranveer. Being Aditya Chopra, it was his habit to rarely smile which never went unnoticed by anyone.
As everyone was settled, the pilot finally started his driving procedures to take off for the journey. Ranveer was busy in chatting with Rajeev, who was beside being his director, was a very good friend of his whereas vrinda and amar sat together as the long time friends literally needed some time together.
"Oops!!" Vrinda said as she hold the handle of her seat tightly as the plane started taking off.
"Don't tell me, ki tumhe plane mein bethne se darr lagta hai.." Amar asked her while giggling a little.
"Offcourse not! Vo to jab bhi plane take off karta hai, to stomach mein kuch hota hai.." She said.
"Kya hota hai?" He was confused.
"You know..jaise butterflies.."
"Plane ke take off karne pe butterflies??"
"Ab hota hai to kya kar sakti hu..bas hota hai." She ended the topic. He giggled as again she was losing in an argument. It was well said somewhere that if you want to have a rare and tough competition of debates and talking, ask Vrinda and Amar to participate as they literally compete to eat each other words and over shadow other's talks while they senselessly continue their own.
As soon as the plane was in air, she found herself stable again. All thanks to her old habit, she started taking selfies with her camera posing every now and then. In few of the pics, Amar and Ranveer too entered, though just because they were in the frame. While both the boys didn't left a single way to ruin her selfies by making stupid faces, she was well aware of these habits.
"Tu to bilkul bhi nahi badli!" Amar said giving her the usual killing smile.
"Badla to tu bhi nahi!" She smirked as she made him a see a selfie where his hands draw horns on her head as she posed with a pout. They both laughed aloud. It was after a long time, they were enjoying all this. Their equation, quite undefined and different, was something noone could express. Not even these two people. It might be senseless to say that they were just co-stars, stupid to say that they are just friends and may be too overwhelming to say that they are more than friends.
