Hey guys, so I know you're expecting an update for 'The first kiss' but i feel like I'm not being able to do justice to it. I really needed to get something else off my chest first.
Warning: this contains mature content, reader's discretion advised.
I started writing this as a simple break-up piece but it turned into something dark and sinister, I have no idea how. This does contain some disturbing elements but I have tried to keep them as less direct and as implied as possible. This contains a lot of hidden meaning and suggestions.
If you don't like dark stuff, please dont read.
Disclaimer: I'm not a dark person, I'm a happy person and I hate writing even sad things. So I guess even i'm surprised that I wrote something like this that too without actually intending to. Also, I love swaron, I don't want to imply through this that this is what they'll turn into. Please don't get offended, Swaron fans and try to remember that I'm one of you as well.
This Love
Love is great in its limits. If kept unchecked, constantly intensifying, it can spiral out of control and turn into a tornado, sucking you within itself. It reels your senses, giving you the pleasure of the spin but destroys you within. -Booksfreak07
"I'm sorry." she whispered.
"I'm sorry too." he clutched at her hand, unwilling to let go.
"We can't break down like this" she said, even though they'd both been crying since the past hour. "We need to be stronger than this Swayam, cut the cord and make a fresh start. This thing... What we're doing, it's really unhealthy. We're... It's just not good for us, Swayam."
"But Sharon, we've been together since four years now. We've made it do far, we can make it work in the future also. We just need to try." Swayam pleaded.
"You think this is making it work? All this drama, this pain, the bruises on our bodies, the state of our lives. Do you think this is how a normal relationship works?" she screamed, her voice getting louder with every word. He heart tearing up a bit more with every word.
"But we are not normal, Sharon. We love each other, our love is so strong, it's so pure-"
"Our love is overpowering at best." she spat tired of the constant push and pull they'd been indulging in since the last four years.
"Don't you even think for a second that I will let you insult my love for you, Sharon Raiprakash. It's pure and innocent." he countered.
Sharon turned towards him and grabbing him by the shoulders, she pushed him on the park bench. A twisted corner of the bench was digging into his back but she didn't care. "What started between us as love is no longer that. It's turned into something else entirely, Swayam. It's vicious and destructive. This-" she said pointing towards the invisible thread that joined them "-has destroyed every relationship in our life and it's not going to stop until it destroys both of us as well."
"Where the hell is all this crap coming from? Did you just wake up one morning and decide that our love is sinister? That it needs to be put an end to?" he shot back.
Sharon smiled bitterly at the ring of truth in his statement. "Yes Swayam. That's actually what happened. I woke up one morning, saw the bruises on my body and freaked out. I realized that I have no friends to speak of, my family is back home in India and I barely speak to them. Then I thought of you, saw the bruises on your body and freaked out all over again. Even you have no friends, family back home that you don't speak to. Our lives are in a rut! And it's all because of this "love" that you speak very highly of" she said making quotation marks in the air and recalling her first session with a shrink and how painful it was to come to terms with the reality of their relationship. Her heart immediately went out to Swayam. 'He must be feeling so awful on being faced with the truth." She extended her hands and caressed his face.
Swayam looked at her hands and a fire ignited inside his heart. An all-consuming fire that he was extremely familiar with now, one he had no control over. He grabbed her hands and pushed her against the fence of the park, trapping both her hands behind her back with one of his own and pulling her hair back with the other."Don't you dare." he whispered in his usual deathly fashion, but instead of glaring anger that he expected to see, he saw fear in her eyes. And instantly his mind went back to an empty classroom, a young girl trapped between him and a wall, her eyes had held anger but they'd also held trust. She had trusted him enough to believe that even when he was at his worst, he'd never hurt her.
Only Sharon can bring out the best and the worst in me.
Reality hit him then. Who have I turned into?
He let go of her hands and walked back to the bench, he sat on it and pulled at his hair in confusion. His sudden epiphany raising a million questions in his mind and no answers for any of them.
When did things turn so bad?
What have I done to my life? What have I done to Sharon?
When did my love turn into a curse?
When did I lose control?
He looked up at Sharon, hoping to get some answers but all he could see was pain, mirroring his own before her eyes transitioned into nothingness and he watched them turn into black pools of emptiness for the first time ever.
She slowly walked towards him and placed a card in his hand. "Visit her, she'll help you." she said and walked away.
But he grasped her arm and held her back. "Only you can help me. Only you, Sharon." he whispered huskily into her ear, at the edge of losing control once again. His teeth cluttering near her lobe, threatening to tear into her flesh, no questions asked.
That's when Swayam felt two large, warm hands on both his shoulders, belonging to two bulky men. They pulled him away from Sharon and she simply said, "I'm sorry, Swayam. I need to do this." and walked away, her eyes clear as crystal. Her expressionless face flinched slightly when she heard his first scream but resumed its calmness once again as she moved swiftly through the darkened park, the screams behind her dimming with every determined step she took.
"You can't do this to me. You can't."
"I love you and you love me. Come back to me, Sharon."
"You can't hit me yourself anymore so you're asking your crew to do your dirty work, you filthy ***"

5 years later
Sharon sipped her searing hot coffee coolly, her eyes scanning the newspaper but not absorbing anything as she sat at the Mumbai airport.
"So nobody has seen him since that night?"
"No"
"Not even you."
"No"
"Has he tried contacting you?"
"No"
"So he's just vanished from the face of this earth after the night you left him in New York?"
"Yes"
Sharon swiftly got up off the chair she'd been sitting on and walked towards the boarding gate on her six inch heels that were painfully digging into her flesh, her eyes devoid of emotion, like always. Her mother followed her, her steps hurried and her face laced with fear. A sharp contrast to her daughter.
Both of them were unaware of a silent pair of eyes watching them, feet that were stealthily following them where they went.
Following her where she went.
Wherever she went.
Since the last five years.
