Yes both crossed their limits... but he already knows her character, he realizes that when she get angry she doesn't watch her words/acts to the limit that may hurt her and her image rather than others...
On the other hand, what he said is completely out of his character... he said words that no person will say it to his lover if he really loves her... If he really loves her, how he could ever question her character?!!... what happened made him lose the confidence he always had for his love... now he is questioning his own love...
To get disappointed by others is much less impactful than getting disappointed by urself... to forgive others is much easier than forgiving urself... and this is what is happening to Swayam... his desappointment by his act made him forget what she said... his inability to forgive himself is what making him accept her punishment for the hope of being released of this guilty feeling...
Self respect comes when u have peace with urself... it comes from how u see urself not how others see u...shouting and rejection was never a tool to maintain self respect... Sharon always uses a high tune, however how others think of her?!!
Some times ur sis/bro may say bad words to u but u forgive and forget... but when u say cruel words to him/her it may take u ages to forgive urself and regain ur confidence of ur love...
