Life as Acharya
After 6 yrs he attained the Snatak degree and also attained the post of Acharya in the university and began to take classes.
Since Acharya Pundarikaksha was keeping indifferent health, he began to deputise for him.
Chanakya's teaching was quite different from the routine. He tried to develop his students quest for knowledge and capacity for independent analysis.
He was arguable the favorite teacher of the university and students vied with each other to be taught by him.
His students looked at him as an ideal teacher who inspired and exemplified great knowledge. His students respected him and were ready to fight at any moment at his orders.
Two of his students who have been mentioned at various instances were Bhadrabhatt and Purushdutt.
In the events that unfolded in the life of Chanakya, these two played a pivotal role in the achievement of his goals.
It is rumored that they acted as spies for Chanakya, collecting information about his enemies.

Missing and Remembering Acharya and his words
Mean while Chanakya had been planning to visit Magadh for sometime now.
He had completed his studies but was also imparted the capacity of an Acharya of the University. Its been a decade since he came to Taxila.
His teacher and mentor Pundarikaksha had passed away in the previous winter. Though it was terrible shock to him but he had to fulfill his mentor's wishes which were 3 assignments.
First, to revise and rewrite the treatise in statecraft along with a code of conduct compendium on civil polity
Second, to go back to Magadh, get married and bring his mother along if she were to be alive.
Third, to continue to awaken the people and generate a sense of national conciousness in them.
Remembering all thesewords, Chanakya did see a mental glimmer of Suvas, his childhood friend. He was not sure whether she reciprocated the sentiment.
He had kept himself under such a rigid discipline that he often felt that he had lost the capacity for soft feelings.
Suvas's memory also reminded him of his mother too about whom he don't have any information. He wasn't sure of her survival. Neither Katyayan ji's information was available to him.
After his Acharya's demise he started feeling lonely and forlorn. But he couldn't leave immediately for Magadh.
He had to finish the job left unfinished by his mentor. The treatise was taking the definite shape which he thought to be a down to earth, practical and a matter of fact work.
The death of Pundarikaksha filled him with a sense of loneliness and he decided to first visit Magadh.
He had taken permission from the kulpati of the university.
