Ok so I finally caught up yesterday's episode on Hotstar. Yeah, kinda late, I know.

Must say, Nandu ka tashan is brilliant! Something I had been vying and waiting for all these excruciating days. And I am delighted the CVs have actually given her wings, which is something I'd like to thank them for, especially against Moora. I can't express how glad I am at the fact that Nandini is not being the usual docile and insta-forgiving bahu 👏 😎

SBP, I love you!!! What an excellent actress. I have admired her since her Makdee days for being such a gifted, natural performer, and she has only kept getting better.

Now, let's come to Rajat Tokas. Rajat, for your current performance, I'd only like to say... awww!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I mean, is it just me...because I feel bad for him already!!! He's sooo cute as the squirming and apologetic-trying-to-make-up-to-Nandu wala Chandu!!!! (Justin Beiber's Sorry playing in the background) 😳

Damn main to bas ek second ke liye hi naraz reh sakti hoon aise bande se 😆 I know I was one of those viewers who used to advocate Chandu's suffering-in-guilt for a considerable number of episodes...because honestly, the cynical, uncivil brute that he had become, was bloody annoying!

But fundamentally...this is the real Chandu we know -- this pikachu-like cute ☺️,affectionate, caring, somber-yet-fun man, who is also a very insightful, noble, fair and self-made emperor, apart from being a highly skilled warrior.

See, we all know he'll eventually be forgiven (and ultimately be rewarded with a SR), because not being holier-than-thou mahaan and not being an OTT idealist are some of the best qualities our Nandu naturally posseses, unlike you-know-who.

So let's gear up to soak in some awesome tashan games, monologues and manofying... and moreover, some intense crackling chemistry 😎

Rajat is absolutely nailing this avatar, as is SBP ⭐️

She is deeply wounded within, inevitably so. But she is not being a tear-shedding pushover, no sir. She has chosen to express herself crisp and clear, yet never reaching that loud & loathsome bracket (read: an emotional bully). This in itself is a massive master stroke, for an Indian television FL.

He is not being an outright romeo either. However, he has melted and molded into this implicit, repentant lover who has now got his ladylove's back, no matter what anymore. He continues to keep up his kingly swag, yet he's palpably sorry and hurting inside.

That scene where Nandini points out to Chandragupt about the huge flaw on his part as an emperor to have punished her for over a year without enough investigation...and the part where he hoarsely admits it, has been played so splendidly by both of them.

She questions him, yes, but maintains a certain dignity for him; not so much for being her husband, but more for being Magadh's emperor and the father of her dear foster son.

His voice betrays perceptible pain, and yet he magnificently keeps his tone and expression restrained...man, I was floored all over again!

Another brilliant scene was how Nandini deals with Moora. Good for her, the monster-in-law! Nandu fittingly gives it back to her, never losing her sophisticated sense of courteousness. #SwagAnusar 😎

This is exactly the kind of Nandini I had wanted to see all these months when Moora was being so grossly nasty with her.

Special mention to Chandra's lovely cut away expressions while the saas-bahu sequence went on. Hilarious 🤣 Rajat was superb once again!

In conclusion, I'd like to say...thank you CV's for giving us some good chunks of sequences and dialogues this week. Yay

PS: Dear Apama and Helena, holocaust begins in 5...4...3...2...1...

Ever since Durdhara died in that awful manner and the blame for this came on Nandini, I took a long hiatus from watching CN. I had reached the end of my tether by that time. Not even a new hair cut for Chandra, an unruly and unshaven stubble, a new glum look (not glam), and a cherubic baby on the sets could redeem what the Greek trio Aapma, Helena and Megasthanes spoilt for me with their evil gloating and plotting. Two of the greatest minds of the period Chandragupt and Chanakya ended up looking absolute simpletons before their villainy. Only Siva's threads and a few messages from my buddies kept me in the loop regarding what was happening on the show. I caught up the last two episodes finally. At last some light at the end of the tunnel. All the characters are gradually being redeemed and so is the story. Looks like we can all finally sit back and watch the excellent performances of the actors along with a storyline that gives them some scope to excel. Your post echoed my very thoughts as I was watching the episodes.

hey meera 🤗
your post echoes the sentiment and expectations of majority of the viewers perhaps.😊 CN has wonderful backdrop of history (which CVs tried to damage systematically) and very talented lead in RT and SBP, who are continuously challenged by a lackluster script 😕

Now overall things are looking up (though by this time you know how we sailed through worst period with equal entertainment value🤣 )

I just want to add that production houses and channelwalas must take this as a lesson that regressive plots like 'first thrash the female lead then bash the male lead' is not going to work anymore. So no point in showing a mahaan N and blockhead CGM. Yes N's strong stand against her in laws and husband is a welcome break from daily soap drama. Also, revival of Chanakya..uff..what had they done to him earlier...And i don't know if i am correct or not but i have felt each time RT's character is resurrected the TRPs have surged. ⭐️
Let's hope for the best😃

Meera🤗
Aptly and beautifully penned down write up with some really good digs😉😆

Now, I won't go into how much the last one month has been torturous and all, the fact is I was watching it and was quite okay, no high BP and no banging my head on wall, we just had distempered the walls you see😆 But yup I have been skipping parts or probably changing channels meanwhile to get equally horrible contents under different names😆 but now I'm interested and interested like anything, I think after gurukul track to paatalgram track phase, this would be the f first weekend where I would kind of miss CN😳

Not only C and C but other characters are resurrecting as well. For instance Dadi, instead of blind cheering she is trying reasoning with moora (thanks to my friends at discussion thread for making it clear to me) and her acting also getting better. Though I miss that Dadi who almost rolled on the bed saying "Nahin" when durdhara died😆

In the same way Moora, now that's the moora which I always wanted to see, stinging, cruel yet royal. she just won my heart with her donating jewels act. This is what grey shade should be.

But I disagree with you, main toh ek second ke liye bhi chandu se gussa nahin reh sakti hoon😆😆
I have never imagined that in an ekta show I will get such prudent treatment of the leads that too considering CN track record.

On and on I'm in a happy space, enjoying thoroughly😃

agree with shumi, the worst period had an amazing entertainment value, now when I see my post filled with clapping and star emocation and ROFL emocation completely missing, my post sounds alien to me😆

and yup shumi you are right, TRP indeed have risen, CN is up one spot

Nicely written Meera. Even am loving this new Nandni something which I wanted to see from long time. Hope this attitude stays with her . Nandni and Moora scene was highlight for me. Nandni just gave silent slap to Moora.I hope Nandni give cold shoulder to Moora in future. I know Chandra is cute etc and he will melt not just Nandni but viewers heart also but for once I want Nandni to stay strong and not melt so soon . SBP is one natural actress and I should say this she is one telly actress who have made me to like her as an actress(telly) and character Nandni. CN is in interesting phase now. Hope writers, team do justice to talented actors like Rajat and SBP.

Sorry for being uber late in replying guys!!

@JanakNandini: I am so sorry I don't know your name, but thank you sooo much for your comment!!! Big hug to you too 🤗

@Shailja di: Oh yes, the post-Durdhara phase had become a colossal mess, and even I used to watch the show on and off, or just read updates mostly. "Two of the greatest minds of the period Chandragupt and Chanakya ended up looking absolute simpletons before their villainy"is the exact reason why I had started to endlessly sulk over the show. I mean I had to continue watching because of my love for SBP and Rajat, but the more I watched the more I got pissed with the content. Vicious Cycle, I know But yes, this week's developments have definitely redeemed most of the characters (even dadi), and restored my faith in humanity 😉Chandra is still smart, Nandini can still be tashan-licious, and CK's kootneeti skills are still intact. It's a beautiful world! Thanks for your lovely comment di 🤗

@Shumiii: 🤗🤗
Arey I sware, I should have joined IF during the "bokwaas" phase of CN, so I could also sail through it laughing with you guys. Koi na, I trust the CV's to raise some random bhasad again in future, so we'll have to entertain ourselves through that sordid patch also 😆
And yes, 'first thrash the female lead then bash the male lead' works no more Ekta!!! Change your "stratetegy" (quoting Mallika Dua from one of her hilarious AIB videos - Flirty Messaging League. Parle dekhish!) I am so glad the CN TRP's went up after they resurrected Chandragupta's smartness. Rajat and SBP deserve the best scripts in the world, because they are bloody worth it. We all know what both of them are capable of, so yes it does feel despairing to see them toil around lazy, uninspired writing 😭
But filhaal, mast din chal rahe hain!!!

@Aish: Pranipaat ji 🤗😎
Thanks a ton!!!
And this:
"but now I'm interested and interested like anything, I think after gurukul track to paatalgram track phase, this would be the f first weekend where I would kind of miss CN😳" pretty much encompasses what I feel for CN once again 😃 Subhanallah!
Arey I am bhaari impressed with Dadi yaar, and I was never even a fan of her cheerleading 😆 I mean, I never hated or disliked dadi, but at best I used to treat her like "kacchi-mitti". Like a character who does not affect the important events of the show in any way, who does not take the story forward. But now Dadi is freakin' amaze, and is making things happen yo 😎
Also this new Moora is more than welcome! Dekh yaar for me, as long as Chandu and Nandu are on the same team, I am okay with anything at all. Apama and Helu can also picnic in Magadh for as long as they want, as far as I know, Chandu aur Nandu jabtak saath hain, it's all ok, it's all good 😆
Aur mere ek second Chandu pe gussa hone wale shabdon pe mat ja re, bhavnao ko samajh 😆

@Nandini: Chandragupt Maurya ke teesri maharani ki jai ho 😆😆
Thankyou so much for your comment ya! And don't worry, our Nandu won't let us down. Abhi to kafi attitude degi wo humare Chandu ko. But they both have lost a very, very important friend in Durdhara, AND they have a son to raise. So I am sure she'll cradle him also whenever necessary, until poorna patch up. That's what sets Nandini apart from most FLs - tashan bhi, humanity bhi, ab sach me possible
