At the onset I just want to admit that I am not going to judge this piece of writing based on historical figures/fact/perspectives, something people get very sensitive about these days. This was necessary to say because now you are not just a chandini' expert(which I love 😳)but with each OS gradually and wonderfully you are evolving as a writer with all-encompassing view of a story/scenario.😃
This OS is a steady mix of all emotions..realization, guilt, anxiousness, love, redemption, vulnerability, specially the comical/witty relief (though I dread using this word considering the slapstick stuff comes on screen) in Veerbhadra or a CGM fumbling in ashirvaad and shagun( I read this part two three times😆)
For the opening para it took me a while to understand it was about B and not CGM-liked it that you didn't make it apparent.
The contrast in N's characteristics; the benevolent one at SHG center and the outrage as a mother, finally a person overwhelmed by memories from a dark past (I liked you chose a completely different track for the breakdown instead of an expected confrontation regarding D's death👏)
The details of medical officer's background and marital story to set the premise for consequent witty encounter between CGM and N; it has worked wonderfully.😆😆
The FB of N was stinging, I felt for both of them and how CGM helped her walk through the dark alleys of past memories.
But am loving the new entrant in this story: the minx😳
Finally, I write my favt lines because after reading them I feel "arre I also think like this but never managed to bring it through words so beautifully". Only embarrassment is that i realized it increases the volume of my post to match up to another OS in itself😕
Anyway, so like a certified beshram(thanks shubha😆), i do it again and here it goes:
charcoal dark pair, now concealed behind the curtain of his thick jet black lashes, when open was as bright as sunlight on a stream.
the 15 days...
He mentally wrote his obituary. Coping with these two one at a time, has given Veerbhadra a clear idea that together they both can be fatal.
you wished to listen "maharaj Chandragupta apni PATNI ke saath jayege"
victims of being a wife, a sister, a daughter, a woman;
her impotent fury gradually turned into murky despondency.
fighting with life's hardships all through his life, only to realize that there was no point in it.
She bowed down,in front of their resolution, ashamed that she had sympathized with them, when they should have been saluted.
Its rightful stakeholder, their king, her husband.
She broke the deal, choosing his chest to be her pillow. Willingly.
"Laal rang tumpe achcha lagta hai" [Red suits you] . "Gulaabi" [Pink]. "Huh?". "ye gulaabi rang hai, laal nahin"... "kabhi socha nahin tha, ki bataane ke liye itni der ho jayegi" (i so felt the talented mr.tokas is perfect for enacting such scenes)
Hoping for somebody to come and rescue them from the moment which was clogging their breathing. Wishing nobody comes and they continue to pine for each other.
"sadaa patni raho", is it?... "you are a hopeless fool" glare this time. With a mental facepalm, she gestured him , (this entire interaction actually🤣)
"aap bataiye, aapko itni lajja kyun aa rahi thi" The moment when they didn't had to pretend to be man and wife.
aap iss kaksh mein bhi nahin thi, toh ab uchit yahin hai ki aap iss mehal mein bhi nahin rahe".
, his voice sounded like a councillor, someone you know, will listen and not judge."Main sun raha hoon Nandini"
with whose permission words decided to make their way through her lips: her brain or her heart.
"andhera tha", he completed it for her. (very touching just like you help your child to complete sentences)
He swore, there's a hand inside his chest, he could feel it, which was squeezing his heart.
But that's the thing with guilt, it finds its way. If you close its way through mind, it will enter through your heart and scorch your soul.
he continued to clutch his angavastra for her dear life.
getting betrayed by the person you love is worse. A year and half later, he concluded that loosing that person to the darkness is even worse.
somewhere the first ray of morning stirred, getting up from her slumber, ready to chase away the darkness of the night
will wait for the continuation 🤗
Aish dear🤗
Thank you for the double dhamakedar updates. Especially the the last part felt like watching a movie, was out standing. Will edit soon with detailed comments
Hi Aishwish,
I am Neetu. I recently caught a few scenes of ChandraNandini on Hotstar, and started following the show in bits and pieces. This FF/SS of your has compelled me to login and post after so many years. Probably 7 years. It is so wonderfully written, I re-read the last part so many times. I could feel what your Chandra and nandini were feeling. It was heart wrenching .Its a shame we could never see anything thing like this ever happening on the actual show.Keep writing, you have a great talent.Regards
