I HATE CHANAKYA

Without any solid proof he blames Nandini for being Rajdrohi. What purpose his burning of letters from Nandini to Chandra is solving?!! If a king has a loving and dutiful wife , is it bad for the king? He wasn't worried when nandini was crying hoarse about taking pratishodh. Now suddenly he has a problem. The way he rebuked chandra it seemed what was hurt was his ego and not Rashtra-heet. " Tumhara man, mastishk, hriday sab kuch mera hai". Yes, he bought Chandra but did he really made him a king to be his puppet? We all know Chanakya was a hard task master with not exactly appreciative feelings towards women, but did he really control Chandragupta s married life like this, governing his love for his own wife, not some girl but his wife?

Feeling so so so let down.

So frustrating.

I expected the learned man to act his age, behave with some maturity, use his knowledge for better things than burning letters of Mukhya Maharani. 😕

But as an audience, after so much of misunderstanding and violence and raktpaat and shadyantra against C & N , I wanted some breather before the next big hurdle. Atleast 2 episodes of happiness. why couldn't CVs provide that before launching into this big problem. They didnt even let C N see each other from the balcony. Not done. 😭

I feel that Chanakya is under the sway of the same kind of insecurity. He literally made Chandra from a scratch to what he is today. In a sense, he perceives him as his maker. He has been controlling his life, his thought processes, his feelings until now. He has always warned Chandra against nurturing softer emotions or sprouting a Hriday because he always knew that if and when Chandra did that, he would be unable to control him as completely as he does now.

After the advent of Nandini in Chandra's life and the birth of these feelings for her in his heart, he can no longer control everything so smoothly. Anybody in a position of power and in the threat of losing some of it, will exactly behave the way Chanakya is doing. He made Chandra. He controlled the way he thought. He controlled and conditioned the way he felt. But today, his own creation thinks and feels differently from what he has conditioned and controlled all along.

The remote is no longer in his hand. So he is reacting pretty ballisticaly to the situation. He is seeing threats where they do not exist. He is seeing enemies is his friends. Practically, what he perceives as a snake around his neck is only a harmless rope around his shoulders. But the way he is behaving, he is making the same harmless rope around his shoulders into a hangman's noose, by knotting it around his own neck and even tightening it to the extent that it is suffocating him. I hope he sees sense pretty soon and realizes who his true enemies are.
