Amina my dear, I am very tired and am going to bed, but I could not let this pass without clarifying some points. You are not thinking things thru at all, I am afraid.

1) The bagh nakh is made of metal. It need not be poisonous. It is basically used against the soft parts of the body to tear the flesh and penetrate the tissues. As in an attack on the abdomen from the front, which can pull out the intestines. That was what Shivaji Maharaj did to Afzal Khan.

WOW Akka - You know Auydha Shastra as well ?!! 😲 When i saw that i was laughing initially - Roopa prepares well and she strikes in the first go unlike CK-CN. And Sunanda took it from a box lying on the table as if it is a showcase. 😆

When one stabs a person in the back of the shoulder, as Roopa does with Nand here, the impact will be minimal, as the curved nails will be blocked by the flat bone of the shoulder. They will not hit any vital organ. There will be some bleeding and that would be all.

Nand Surviving is believable . He seems so strong and bagh nakh was a little more effective than Roopa's nails on him. But the abdomen piercing was solid, i thought.

2) Roopa stabs Nand through his abdomen using a knife that seems to be over 2 feet long. It goes right thru him, at the level of his waistband, and is protruding to a length of 4 inches. Even this need not be fatal if the blade does not, thru sheer luck, touch any vital organ in the abdominal cavity.

3) This last is what must have happened, and Nand is physically very tough. So, he would probably have tightened his kamarbandh to staunch the bleeding and got going.

4) He naturally wants to save Nandini by taking her with him on his horse. But she does not want to go with him and so she effectively squirms and falls off the horse deliberately. She too seems plenty tough; 3 stab wounds and she does not lose consciousness till he has finished his vicious peroration!😆 Again, if no vital point has been touched in her case as well, there will be only flesh wounds that will heal.

Nand's stabs were shown as powerful - Highly unlikely anyone can survive all three but then our heros and heroines always do. Wars are terrible - How many people must have lost lives like this in ancient times. And today's wars are even worse. I reemember Iraqi soldiers crawling in desert in 1990 to surrender to US Army in Kuwait liberation war as US bombs sucked the oxygen levels in that area for some time and soldiers wanted to breathe. Kargil war hero remarked as soon as war was won saying Siachen cannot be defended endlessly we need to find diplomatic solutions.

In general, sword wounds are cleaner and heal more easily if they are not fatal. A gunshot wound is far worse as the bullet rips the insides of the body apart and causes a lot of damage to both bones and flesh.

OK - I used to hear a lot of Kathi kuthu cases in Dravidian politics when I was growing up and almost all of them survived to contest next elections most likely in the other party which they fought earlier. This explains it.

In promo they showed nandini came to know truth
I came across some tit bits where it reads nandini stands up for Chandra
Against nand
And common trp audience are happythat nandini came to know truth

It too don't want my prediction to be proved right. I want it to be proven wrong. But the next two or three episodes are very crucial in telling us which direction the story will go. And finally nobody knows who exactly the TRP audience are! I have never understood till date why few shows succeed and why a few shows fail. It is an enigma. And by the way, did any of you see Chandrakanta on Life OK? If so, what are your views on the same? I wasn't exactly sure what to make out of it. Perhaps I might have to watch a few more episodes to form a correct opinion. My first impression was that it is OTT, more specifically Sudhesh Berry. Kritika Kamra looked very beautiful and sensuous. She acted very well too. Gaurav Khanna looks good and acts good and the chemistry between the leads is scintillating. The person who really shone according to me in the very few scenes he had was Vijay Anand as Kroor Singh. A very inspired and nuanced bit of acting.

Woolly headed people???

I must admit i have never heard of this one. Something new to learn

But seriously I have some points to make but unfortunately on a 6 day trip to Punjab and Himachal starting tomorrow. So will come back and share my views on why I said so.

Till then, all missiles welcome. 😆😃

Sri, you CANNOT have a point to make and then take off just like that without making the point!!

As for your assertion of male brain being superior than female brain in politics - bollocks!

Male or female you need shrewd, forward thinking, calculative and willing to take risk kinda brain to be successful. And in history you will find both male and female who possessed such brain who had done great thing in politics.

Yesterday's episode was just a waste of everything.

A memory loss might be possible. Nandini might be missing after falling from whatever place shown in the precap. Once Nandini survived from her fatal injuries magically I want her to leave both her Father and Chandra and lives far away from pataliputhra in a hidden avatar, for a while, as she thinks both has used her and she has lost all the faith and hope of them now.

Pratiksha, Aunty is right about the endless possible track to drag a serial.

In one movie the tamil comedian Vivek, who potrays a serial writer, has to leave the show. When they ask what are they to do now that he is ditching them, he tells them to show a character going up a stairs in slo mo for a week, and followed by the character coming down in slo mo for the next week. He proceeds to conclude that this is how mega serials are made - by dragging plain mundane things. He was right of course.

If you had ever the unfortunate chance of watching KumKum Bhagya, you would get the answer to your question immediately. It is similar in story with CN that both main had a love-hate relationship. So they were about to resolve their differences when
1. His ex girlfriend accuses him of fathering her illegitimate child. this track went up to more than 2 months. And the girl was pregnant longer than an elephant!
2. Heroine got kidnapped. Track lasted 3 weeks
3. Hero got badly hurt. Track lasted more than 2 weeks.
4. Heroine pretends to be baddie. Lasted for months

This is only a few. It all ended with hero having amnesia. I don't konw what is happening to the story now. It is very clear that the charm with the serial aunties was the love that cannot be together. So CVs have come up with utter nonsense stuff to keep them apart and the serial currently is in top of the chart!!

Don't fret, my dear Pratiksha! Just go with the flow and enjoy what you can like, Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof! Just look at the incredibly sweet scene into which the previous episode's precap was expanded last night! So gentle and affectionate, and yet with no raw passion or even sensuality at all. The director must be quite exceptional to be able to think up such segments. That, and the remarkably rational scene between Chandra and Nandini later, it was truly exceptionally sensible and very well written.

And do not worry about the future tracks, There will be one with a chudail who covets Chandra and hates Nandini, there will be a major fallout between Chhaya and Malay, there will be a tussle over baby Bindusara between Helena and Nandini, there will be Helena plotting to poison the kid's mind against Nandini, the list can be endless. And I have not even touched on Chandra having to marry Chanakya's daughter, because no one else will marry her after she has been in Padmanand's clutches for so long.

See what all can be cooked up! So chill, my dear. The chudail is coming for sure, and all I ask is that she be a gorgeous, slinky temptress, not an overweight belly-dancer!😆

The TRPs are not falling. They are not rising, but then the ones for Pardes mein hai mera dil, with Ekta's premium pair , are worse. I think this show will limp along for 300+ episodes.

Thank you for such a charming comment about my post. It is a lovely (and original) thought.

Sri,

You are the limit! I almost fell off the chair laughing at your last comment @bold. It is quite true, especially the party hopping part!😆

But as for sword vs gun, the former was very often not lethal in duels. That was what was called a clean wound. Neat, thru the flesh alone, and healed relatively quickly.
