The cold here aggravates even the most minor of infections. And I hope it is pretty harmless and nothing serious. All of us have had flu shots. So I will recover in a couple of days hopefully. My husband has been such a sweetheart. He has been taking care of the little one, cooking and household work all by himself. I am mainly resting. I just hope I don't have to see a doctor. I am trying all household remedies like Haldi milk, steaming, green tea with basil leaves and ginger, etc, I hate hospitals for some reason. Going there makes me feel depressed!

Hello Aunties & girls,

Just read through the thread and see that tensions are rather high...

Can't wait for your post to be released - hopefully Kraken releases your fingers long enough for you to finish up the post. My interest is now piqued with only the bits that you have disclosed here. But will be a new thread all together?

Anyhow, I do not wish to add on further to the valid/invalid points of whether Dhurdhara should be admitted in the contest. After giving a long hard thought, I am sure Dadi must have said whatever required to eliminate Dhurdhara for reasons (i) she is far too childish/immature to be hodling the post of Mukya Maharani, (ii) she has the least exposure to politics amongst Chandra's wives and (iii) as a great friend and companion she is to Chandra he cannot lean on her for kingly duties. Having said this, I look forward to finding out what exactly did Dadi say and meant anyway.

Though Dadi said that she knows of a way to bring C and N together and the next thing we kown she is hosting this completion. There is no way she could have known who will be crowned victor. I assume she is bagging on the fact that she thinks Nandini as a perfect female and thus is convinced she will be the one to win. Either way it is a little confusing to me as to why she would hatch this plan to bring them together, simply because both Helena and Nandini has equal chance to win - in my opinion of course.

Whether we like it or not Helena is someone I would consider as an accomplished stateswoman, in comparison to Nandini, though Nandini is not far behind her. So, there is valid point in establishing who is to be the Mukya Maharani.

Now in all of this what bugged me the most is Chandra's split personality. On the day before he is goofing around with Nandini and claims that there is a certain unexplained happiness in seeing her laugh, the next day he is again at his you are the patrani of my heart and would like you to win'. I do hope that Roopa made her appearance and worked her magic which resulted in the change of mood. Otherwise I simply cannot make out what is with this yo-yo attitude he has.

He loves her and his Achilles heels are her tears. He also loves to see her laugh and be happy. Warranted that it hurts him to know she loves' Malay. But why must he be a darling a moment and a Grinch the other? He really need to sort his personality issue, seriously!

My theory on why Moora prefers Nandini in the absence of a kundali is that between the 3 daughter in law, Nandini would make the perfect queen for Chandra. She already knows of Helena having another side though she doesn't know the real extend of it, and she also knows how immature Dhurdhara is. For a son that she could not raise, I think she would like to ensure she finds him someone who will be his support for life...something she as a mother should have been to her young son, but failed. Its like Tamil movies where before dying the mom would like to find a good wife /husband for the son/daughter so that they have someone after their passing.

And Moora was never really shown as holding grudge against anyone except for Nand. So the whole Nand-Putri anger angle does not apply to her me thinks. Just my 2 cents

As for Dadi. She does exasperate me. Because she is abit of OTT in her cupid avatar especially when she makes unannounced entrance into their room.

One bothering question though - why didn't Avantika or Moora confront Nandini about the drunken dance? Due to Chandra's yo-yoing personality and my own doubt on his use of his grey cells, I acknowledge that Aunty's question of why he didn't immediately try to put a stop to it is valid, but rather pointless due to reasons above. For example, he keeps going on about I don't know which is the real Nandini' showing that he is confused about what is going on with her, yet he does nothing to clear the doubt. Even if he is dead sure she is in love with Malay and thus behaving like this, it doesn't add up when she is so docile and gentle and eager to please him during their other private moments. You can say she puts up a show of being good wife if its in public, but what about in private? If she despises him and loves Malay deeply would she be so fine with sharing the same intimate space with him? Their four times the size of my house, and am sure she can find a corner to sleep instead of next to him.

Well Aunty, looking forward to your post and the episode today.

No, I think that Chandra is at his old bag of Balgram tricks again...
Remember, he wakes Nandini from sleep and tells her "it's the most difficult exam and I don't think you have it in you to pass, and I definitely don't think you can manage in the disguise of a man.. tumse nahi hoga"... repeatedly snatching the book away from her... that's when Nandini is determined to take the exam at all costs.

He challenges her, plants an idea in her mind, leaves her to process the idea and execute, enjoys her performance and feels extremely proud when she succeeds.
He knows that Nandini is capable of winning, but would generally stay out of competition. She sometimes needs an extra push in the right direction.

Here he was delighted when Daadi declared that she is going to stay in palace for some more time. Because that makes Nandini stay with him for some more time. If she wins the Mukhya Rani competition, he gets to be next to her all day, and she will have to spend more time with him.

Also, he has been feeling that he is losing Nandini to Malay. The warrior in him cannot accept this defeat and sees the Mukhya Rani contest as a streak of light to win Nandini. If he can't keep her with him as his wife, she is at least duty bound to stay with him as his Chief Queen !!
He is a warrior. In love with Nandini. If she wins, he gets to win her. Her victory, is actually his victory. It's a win-win situation for Chandra !!

Nandini is originally the first queen of Chandra and should have been the Patrani. But, by nature, she doesn't desire to pluck the title out of Helena and hurt her in the process So, when the opportunity of Mukhya Rani presents itself, Chandra wants Nandini to make good use of it.

He knows that, by nature, Nandini would give way to Helena to win the competition. So he purposely calls Helena to his room, studies Nandini's mindset as he sits on the bed, and nudges Nandini indirectly with his sweet remarks to Helena.. Just as he expected, Nandini snaps back, "don't worry, I will ensure your favourite queen wins the competition - (don't remember the exact dialogue in Hindi)".
So he immediately retorts "even if you are interested in the competition, you cannot win" and walks away with a smile on his face ...the camera closed in too fast on this end scene.

He is a warrior and knows how to get his results from each soldier, by change of tactics. So I think he is back to his Balgram challenge with Nandini ... this is my take on the scene.

I did contemplate the theory of giving someone a push by telling them that they cannot do it. But the had promised Chhaya that Nandini will leave the palace once Dadi leaves.

Yes, the boy in love in his had jumped for joy (his expression unmitakenable, which i am sure Moora and Dadi too would have realized if the paid attention) at Dadi not leaving the palace. It however seemed like the joy of having her for a little longer knowing that she is bound to leave.

So he does his big boy act and in a very samrat-ly manner declares Nandini leaves once Dadi leaves as punishment of her undignified act of wooing Malay. Then he wants her to win so she can be Mukya Maharani and be with him? He cannot change his words, right?

What will he say to Chhaya?

I rather he ship her and Malay to wherever Malay is from (forgot the name) but, really, he cannot be going around giving contradicting promises to people...

Unless this is his sneaky way of getting her to stay, despite the promise he gave🤔

PS: I do not propose to get into the above debate, most of which will be outdated very soon, for I am out cold by now. Will surface some time tomorrow.

As for the tempting idea of Chandra trying reverse psychology on Nandini, much as I would like to believe it, both the present circumstances wrt Nandini, as discussed in this post, and past experience point in the other direction. But let us hope for the best.

Not just you, my dear, with the chorus it added up to over 4, so the 'on's were not too many.

Yes, I was unusually tired and irritable. What I am now is not what I was three years ago. And as time goes on, it is going to get worse for me; I can see that already.

Then again, you do not have the knack of handling me when I am out of sorts. Lashy does. It might be useful to learn, for general use, how to tackle someone who is uncharacteristically fretful. At your age, I knew that very well, and one of the tricks is not to insist on having the last word.

I've always thought that your threads were not the Bhajan Mandali types and all views, voices, arguments, debates , rants and polambals are welcome here whether you agreed with what was stated or not. I understand that your limited time and energy have got the better of your patience.😕 Take care Aunty. You really sound tired.🤓

well aunty, this is my 1st & last post in this thread bcoz i dont want to rise my BP. maybe previously i was more patient or hyper about debating but now im not & u can very well have ur last words in this matter. anyways, i personally dont feel chandra had done anything wrong by banishing nandni. Nandini had confessed tht she loves malay so any other king in tht era will actually behead the queen. treachery or infidelity is certainly a crime whether she had done it or not thts a different issue but she had confessed so its enough for any king or a man to banish her. wife is certainly a responsibility but no king will bear the responsibility of a woman who claimed to be love with sum other man. yes mura can question him as a mother, but he has the right to take decisions as a king. infact, chandra or moora turning blind even after roopa as nandni dancing with malay is certainly funny. & if for moora it doesnt matter then wht to say. its strange almost same situations were in the previous show as well but tht time emperor's anger or banishing was right bcoz maybe he took sum time or saw the man?? but in reality no king will wait & certainly not after the queen confessing her love for other man. just like we didnt expect an emperor to read the queen's eyes, chandra also isnt there to read his queen's eyes. besides emperor was more experienced with ladies than chandra who was never exposed to any lady. & not to forget real chanakya was always against women. acc to chanakya a married woman sleeps with one man but thinks about other, yes i know it wasnt shown in the show but those thoughts can also transfer in chandra's mind as well. so for me if the emperor was right the king was right as well & if not then emperor also should have thought about his wife's "responsibilities". & then i dont see any fault of HB as well. im not claiming tht chandra is fully right i also agree about how his character is butchered but banishing was no way wrong. im not going to defend my words & not going to argue bcoz as i said i dont want to rise my BP. thnk u.

Yes, Munni, but not the way he did it. If she had been captured by bandits and sold in the slave market , what then? He says he does not consider her his wife, so then he cannot exercise any husbandly rights on her either. He cannot have it both ways.

I do not see where the last word comes here, for I have never seen you on any of my threads, so this is your first word and mine to you as well. And this topic is totally out of date by now. Chill, my dear!
