Padmanand was the King of Magadh and Nandini was born a princess. Though people see him becoming the king after marrying Avantika, we for all practical purposes know he staged a kind of military coup. He is and was the ruler of Magadh when Nandini was born. Same goes for Helena. Her dad belonged to the military elite always, even when she was born. Durdhara's dad was and is a trader.

And here, it is a policy of exclusion or choosing the best, not one of inclusion. They need only one Rani for the Puja. So it would not do for them to keep on increasing the list instead of decreasing it. So even though, now all of them, Nandini, Helena and Durdhara have to be regarded as belonging to the Kshatriya Kul as they are all equally married to the ruling King, Chandra, it does not work out like that.

For that matter, Dharma is CAS should have been considered a Maharani by everyone and not be insulted for her Brahmin origin or for her having been a Daasi once. But we know that she and Ashok we always taunted by Sushim, Siamack and Jagannath as Daasi, Daasi Putra, etc,

Raja Janak though a very great seer was always called Raj Rishi. Vishvamitra had to move heaven and earth, create a Trishanku Swarga, atone for his sins, undertake a whole lot of penance and propound the Gayatri Mantra before he was called Brahma Rishi.

Class distinctions were so rigid and discriminative during those days. Otherwise, why would a person like Karna who was so powerful, talented, and Tejaswi have to face discrimination throughout his life? If this was the fate of a Suryaputra whom people mistook to be a Sooth Putra, this is still the Durdhara on the show.

Moreover, if she had issues, she had to voice them out. But she seems pretty happy contesting none of this. The worth of every individual is what he/ she perceives himself/herself to be. If they are content with less, people give them less. If you fight for more, there is a chance that you might get more or even lose what you have.

But it is a gamble the individual will have to take. If they respect and esteem themselves less, people also see them like that. Durdhara gives everyone like Helena or Dadi a walkover. So nobody takes her or her claims seriously.

Shailaja, the logical conclusion of your entire post is:

Nandini should always be taunted as "Naapit-putri" or "Suryagupt-khooni- putri" 😆...Not loved unconditionally by Dadi n Mura the way it's being shown...

Btw, traders were held in much higher esteem than barbers in those days...😃...We haven't forgotten Sunanda's "Naapit" taunts, have we.?😆😉

Khushi and the rest take whatever conclusion you please from my post. I can only assume that you guys hate Nandini so much despite the fact that for a few not very big and completely forgettable and forgivable flaws and a birth in which she had no hand you want her to be everyone's punching bag. Here Chandra for all his great love treats her obnoxiously and addresses her the most insulting words a husband can ever use for his wife, and you guys are behind the life of the only two cheerleaders and spots of sunshine she has, Dadi and Moora and want a cliff hanger for both? So what if they sympathize with somebody who is suffering away like patience on a monument instead of an energizer bunny? It is human mentality. Not everyone can treasure vindictiveness and revenge in their hearts forever. So what if they let go of their hatred and make peace and be happy with their present? Nandini does love Chandra at least. It is pretty evident to even the blindest bat, except Chandra of course! I came here thinking I was going to get rid of my writer's block for my FF by having a pleasant time here. What you guys are indulging in at the present moment is very akin to bashing and negativity! But since you guys are having all fun out of it, I won't come back here to spoil it till Aunty makes a new post. I will stick to my own FF thread till then.

Precisely, chlld. I had already decided to do the same anyway. I am sick and tired of this whole argument. They do not seem to have a single new idea in their heads bar this one, and so they wallow in it endlessly. They can have Durdhara cloned to the power of three if they like!😉

Though this is really my thread, I have now decided to leave it to this lot, and Anjali, of course!😉

I think we can all enjoy the discussions when we are open to others views.

Liked what Sands, Khushi have been putting forward.

@Shailaja - I still think this montage is not like earlier one - I liked earlier one better. We all can disagree and but I cannot be forced to say that I like latest one .Is it not ?

I am wanting to like it as all of you have been on the other side. From y'day I tried looking at it in various angles and still somehow not able to like it better than the earlier one.

Akka wrote a short commentary on earlier montage - I loved both montage and commentary.

Well, Khushi my pet, while you have not had the time or the energy to offer a single comment on my original post - have you even read it? - it is good to see you active here!

Akka - This is surprising - YOU, of all the people are against people voicing their views ?

😕

Not against people voicing their views, but against their going on and on and on and on about a single point. Do you think that repeating the same idea over and over makes it automatically more acceptable to the other side?

I am tired, Sri, and while I am working slowly on my new post, I am not going to spend my limited time and energy on countering such stuff.

OK, this is it from me for now. You and the rest can put up a few more posts reinforcing the leit motif, that Durdhara should have been included, of course with the competition then being in a single subject: babbling like the certified idiot she is!
