Then why not veto her decision the way 'ONLY Nandini has to share Kaksh with Chandra' or 'Chandra has to carry ONLY Nandini uphill'. She could have just said that 'Chandra has to conduct that ritual and ONLY Nandini will accompany him.' Why hold a competition when the results are pre-decided??? Why initially disqualify Dhurdhara on the basis of her birth and finally Helena on the same basis, when Nandini's lineage is equally inappropriate???

Most of you here are overreacting about everything. First, the montage which is pretty and much better than earlier ones. Secondly, I went back to the episode to see Dadi's classification and discrimination before I ventured my own arguments. Dadi precisely says Kshatriyas and Vaisya Kul and not about being 100% Royal Blood or 50% Royal Blood or 20% Royal Blood.

Many of our rituals and Pujas are discriminatory and casteist. There is no denying that. It is either done that way or not done at all. If there is a Nombu which only Brahmin ladies do and are permitted to attend, even to this day it is done in the same procedure in our family. Nobody makes changes or even asks questions why it can't be otherwise. The word of the elders and the age-old customs are held supreme. If this is what it is in 21st century, how would the people of 4th BC have been? They would have followed these things even more staunchly.

Kshatriya by definition means the ruling and military elite. Their role is to protect the society by fighting in war time and governing or administration in peace time. Some Kshatriyas were also Blue Blood or belonged to the aristocracy. So by this definition, both Nandini and Helena are eligible for this Puja as they belong to families who are either military elites or belong to the ruling family. By any definition, Durdhara will never belong to a Kshatriya family. She will always owe her origin to the Vaisya clan or the trading and merchantile caste.

Aunty, this time, I am not even being defensive! I am being confident! I have facts on my side!

Just googled what an LP record was. We do have a few of those at home but didn't know they were called LP.🤓

It is not about 3 kalu or 4. I am open to logic and reason. But i find none in this track. The only logic is that you shouldn't expect any logic, this being Ekta's show. I do try to obliviate every other thing and see only Rajat's presence and Nandini's sweetness, but doesn't work always.😕

Even if it is just a question of kul, then would Padmanand be classified as a Kshatriya once he assumed throne or once he is husband to a queen, as he now belongs to administration/ruling/military elite. If Nand is not then how is his daughter a Kshatriya? If Nand is, then Dhurdhara should also be a Kshatriya now as she is now a queen and wife to a king.

By any definition of kul, i do not see Nandini/Helena fitting into the competition where Dhurdhara doesn't.

Padmanand was the King of Magadh and Nandini was born a princess. Though people see him becoming the king after marrying Avantika, we for all practical purposes know he staged a kind of military coup. He is and was the ruler of Magadh when Nandini was born. Same goes for Helena. Her dad belonged to the military elite always, even when she was born. Durdhara's dad was and is a trader.

And here, it is a policy of exclusion or choosing the best, not one of inclusion. They need only one Rani for the Puja. So it would not do for them to keep on increasing the list instead of decreasing it. So even though, now all of them, Nandini, Helena and Durdhara have to be regarded as belonging to the Kshatriya Kul as they are all equally married to the ruling King, Chandra, it does not work out like that.

For that matter, Dharma is CAS should have been considered a Maharani by everyone and not be insulted for her Brahmin origin or for her having been a Daasi once. But we know that she and Ashok we always taunted by Sushim, Siamack and Jagannath as Daasi, Daasi Putra, etc,

Raja Janak though a very great seer was always called Raj Rishi. Vishvamitra had to move heaven and earth, create a Trishanku Swarga, atone for his sins, undertake a whole lot of penance and propound the Gayatri Mantra before he was called Brahma Rishi.

Class distinctions were so rigid and discriminative during those days. Otherwise, why would a person like Karna who was so powerful, talented, and Tejaswi have to face discrimination throughout his life? If this was the fate of a Suryaputra whom people mistook to be a Sooth Putra, this is still the Durdhara on the show.

Moreover, if she had issues, she had to voice them out. But she seems pretty happy contesting none of this. The worth of every individual is what he/ she perceives himself/herself to be. If they are content with less, people give them less. If you fight for more, there is a chance that you might get more or even lose what you have.

But it is a gamble the individual will have to take. If they respect and esteem themselves less, people also see them like that. Durdhara gives everyone like Helena or Dadi a walkover. So nobody takes her or her claims seriously.

Actually, what Dadi should have said, was, that " only a queen who is a warrior can participate in this pratiyogita"...That would have eliminated Durdhara leaving the other 2 to compete with each other, without illogically demeaning Durdhara's lineage i n any way...😊

And then, maybe even I wouldn't have announced a PRATIYOGITA for Daadi & Mura 😆

But anyways, I don't think we viewers are expected to take Daadi's words seriously anymore...😉
