Babloo's Commentary on Chandranandini epi 20.

( Baby Sarasa has gone to school. Babloo, her three year old 'Lil' brother is at home with grandma..Grandma finishes her chores in the kitchen, comes and takes up the laptop. She reads Shyamala's take on CN episodes, "the Baptism by Blood". Unable to resist the urge to watch Rajat in action, she tunes in CN- episode 20.)

Babloo: What are you watching grandma?

G'ma: Come on Babloo kutty.. Lets watch Rajat doing sword fight..

Babloo: Grandma.. how do you know Rajat uncle will fight now..

G'ma: Kanna.. Shyamala aunty wrote about Rajat's fight scene in Chandranandini..

Babloo: Did aunty write to you? you didn't tell me.. Baby'kka also didn't tell me..

G'ma: She didn't write to me alone.. She wrote to all her friends..

Babloo: How many friends has she?..

G'ma: She has about hundred friends...

Babloo: Oh.. that is big.. I know how to count up to hundred..But did she write to all her friends?

G'ma: Yes..

Babloo: All the hundred?

G'ma: Yes..

Babloo: Won't her hands hurt?

G'ma: Yes .. she says so.. that's why I want to see Rajat fighting.. and write a reply to her..

Babloo: (surprisingly)😲 Rajat uncle fighting? I want to watch.. I never saw him fight...

G'ma: That's good.. Come on...

( They watch the opening scene...Grandma is deeply engrossed in the battle scene...)

Babloo: Grandma, does Rajat uncle know how to fight with sword? Did he learn from Jalal uncle?

G'ma: Babloo kutty... Jalal uncle is not here.. It is a different person kutty.. he is Chandragupta..

Babloo: Oh.. Chandamama comes only in the night... Is that why Chandra uncle fights in the night..?

Babloo: Who are the girls grand ma..They look like idiots..

G'ma: They are the queens and princess..

Babloo: Are they watching TV like us? Did they also read Shyamala aunty's letter?

Babloo: Are they taking red powder?..

G'ma: 😲Red powder..? WHY?

Babloo: When Jalal uncle went for war, Jodha akka took red powder to fight with the 'nemy...

G'ma: This time they are not taking chilli powder kanna..

Babloo: Haiya.. Then Rajat uncle will win, Rajat uncle will win... because they didn't take red powder..( claps hands)👏

G'ma: ??😕😲

Babloo: Grandma.. grandma...see.. the 'nemy guy is falling down from horse...

G'ma: But .. Babloo kutty , Chandra won't win this time..

Babloo: Why grandma? Don't you like Chandra uncle ?

G'ma: No kutty.. it is written like that in the history book..

Babloo: How do they know? Did the history book people watch the war? When did the war happen?

G'ma: That was more than 2000 years ago..

Babloo: Oh...Did we have TV at that time...?

G'ma: Babloo... Save all your questions till the show finishes..Then you can ask all the questions to Shyamala aunty...She will love to give you reply..

Babloo: Look ...grandma...That tall son of the white dress grandma is coming... Who sent him? He is a bad guy...he gave trouble to Jalal uncle..

G'ma: He comes to help the enemy king..

Babloo: Why?

G'ma; Because he is going to marry the princess..

Babloo: Is he the hero?

G'ma: No.. Chandragupt is the hero..

Babloo: Grandma, don't you know, only a hero can marry a princess...

My dearest Akka,

I tried to use the Mary Poppins word to praise this marvellous essay of yours - the one beginning with Super, you remember it? - and for once I forgot to save the whole before posting it. The IF censor declared that I was using unknown words and trashed the whole post. I was ready to howl in frustration, but having fortified myself with murungakkai sambhar & aviyal, I am now ready to do it all over again.Here goes.

As for the taboo word, it is herewith replaced by scrumptious!

And was it me, or there was fiery chemistry between Chandra- Helena 😉

Right now both Durdhara and Helena have an edge over Nandu in Chandru's heart (whatever that organ might be), a la Ruqaiya and Salima Begum😆
