Love your last para.

You know, my dear Shailaja, I used to say about the much tom-tommed but for a very long time invisible amar prem between Jalal and Jodha that one fine day, the CVs would put up a placard, just like the 31 second daily disclaimer, announcing that Jalal aur Jodha ki amit aur alaukik prem kahani ki shuruat ho gayi hai! And that would be that.

It will not be so bad here, I think, despite the unpromising goings on just now.

But I loved the way in which CGM carried the unconscious Nandini over to the bed, disposed her neatly on it, detached himself from her necklace, and then left, wondering about the vagaries of fate than had forced him to help the daughter of the enemy. In all this while, there was not the slightest sign of any attraction towards her, nor the least hint of longing in his eyes. He was like Rishyasaringa, a detached, ascetic creature unlike the common run of humanity, and worried only about how he was to fulfil his guru's aadesh.

Aunty please do take care of your health. Bi-weekly analysis would also be just as fine as daily analysis threads. A lot of riding, biting, tying up human bundles, riling up of Nand, and slapping of Chandra happened, but somehow all this failed to rouse me from my lethargy. It was one of my wet towel days where I spread out a wet towel on my desk and lie down simply observing all the motions on TV, from the beginning till the end, with nothing registering or making the required impact, and getting me to react either in like or dislike. It began and meandered to its end.

As for the elusive chemistry between Chandra and Nandini, I am informed by elementary Dr Watson, who couples up as friend and assistant of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes, that it started from the poles of the earth in a bullock cart and will make its appearance in a 100 to 200 episodes from now depending on the weather conditions.

My take on chemistry is
that is how its meant to be

chandra is a warrior his heart only beats for motherland and to chankyas goal, chankya is commander and chandra is soldier who follows his aadesh without question unflinching loyalty. Chandra is sword and chankya the hand that moves that sword in right direction for sake of india the motherland

that is why he left the mom he loved so much, when he left her he left his heart all his emotions of an human behind he is just a warrior (like freedom fighters)

after he defeats nanda, he will be forced to marry nandini against his wishes by chankya whose command he will not dismiss and obey till death loyally

nandini hates him as he killed her family and chandra hates her as her father killed his parents and maade him orphan

this hate will go on for sometime till nandini knows truth of her dad then she feels guilty and asks sorry to chandra and his mom and chankya

i doubt chandra will forgive her initially then some thing drastic will happen like nandini save chandra or his mom or chankay life and chandra greatful to her and love begins

then helena or another will become villan between them

Yes, my dear Prem, this is a very plausible scenario. That is why I said that Chandra right now is like Rishyasaringa. He was a young rishi, so pure of heart that when he entered even a desert, the rain came at once.

Firstly i would like to say thank you Aunty for All the analysis and information shared so far...

I just cannot accept the actress playing nandhini, something is not right be it get character as- Princess, All the baggage jewelery and her Clothes, and i dont know abt others, the actreess seems not to comfortable with wat she is wearing ... it's effecting the scenes... and they should adjust the camera angle, she's looking short in many angles ... or is it due to her attire that is making her to look so ... I'm not sure ...

In fact the actress playing Helena is growing on me... look at her she's kind of comfortable and performing way better than the lead ...

History a side, but a love story needs both the leads to contribute ... if not it's plain ...

I heard that's she's a acclaimed actress but I dun see anything like that so far ...

I mean no offense to anyone ...

Thank you, my dear Neha, and I see that you are a clever young lady, having already got the hang of my timings! These days it is usually around 4 pm IST. as the mornings have become very full.

See you tomorrow, my dear. You take care too, and God bless.

You are very welcome, my dear Riyya, and I am pleasantly surprised to see that you are now able to read my long posts without complaining that they are too long, as you always did in the old days!😉 I think I can take the full credit for having substantially extended your attention span!!😆

As for the rest, my darling girl, just chill. It is very early days yet. Just relax and go with the flow, and whenever Nandini does not seem to you to be up to the mark, just think of how unexpectedly satisfactory this Chanakya is! I was really very doubtful about his being able to jell in this role after having played a very different one in Ashoka till 3 days before Chandra Nandini began,

I finally got around to watch episodes 9 onwards and have to admit that I still enjoy the write ups by talented writers in the forum than the show.
I do not see where Shweta has shown any signs of being a good foil to Rajat's talent
She has the same expression no matter what while we have seen Rajat emote with his face, eyes and body language.
Maybe as you explain in ur write up about her being a dancer has something to do with her dilated eyes. It still does not explain her lack of expressions or uniformity no matter if she is kidnapped or held at knife point or refused after swayamvar. Chemistry is too far distant in the future.
Also the dialogue delivery also seems very casual to me. You never get the essence of having undergone royal training in any department whatsoever.
I know you will reprimand me once agian for referring to JA but it was a treat to the ears to hear the language with no hotch potch in there. I think I heard someone use the word 'Mehfoos' on CN and was wondering if it had any place here.

No, my dear Abhaya, I am not going to argue with you, for I am in complete agreement with you re: Shweta's Nandini as a performance. The only saving grace is that I do not think she will ever be mahaan, and that, for me, would be a major compensation!😉 And as for now, the good thing is that there are not likely to be many scenes of hers with Chandragupta, ones where she is not in a dead faint, that is!😉

I was, as I wrote in this post, highly irritated by the use of Urdu words, but now I have located the source of most of them: Helena. Of the rest of the characters, the only anachronistic word I can remember them using is shaadi instead of vivah. But these days, they were saying jaldi even in Siya ke Ram!

As for Helena, she speaks almost pure Urdu, which is of course derived from Persian. So, If one can presume so much of logic on the part of the CVs😉, they might be attributed the kind of language she uses to the years she must have spent in Persia before moving on towards India!
