My dear Khalessi,

I am glad you could not resist it, for your comments are always original and interesting. And in coral too!

I agree with almost everything you have said and so have very little to add, but such supplementary comments as I have are in blue.

Shyamala

Hello Shyamala.

I've never thought to write my detailed opinion so soon as I watched the episode, but after having read your great analysis, I just couldn't resist to start and as a bonus gift for you, in order to honor your skills, I will start with coral.

PS: By the way, what do I call you? Ash?

QUOTE=AshReeSha]It seems your analysis will prove to be a strong incentive to watch this show.
Brilliantly put.

Ash is fine, yes.
I liked the new swordfighting promo though.
Made me want to write a drabble.
Do you write? I'd love to read because your analysis was on point and I want more of that ok

No, my dear Ash, I do not write, independent fiction, that is. My whole career of 38 years was as an Indian diplomat, so my forte is analysis. Such stuff as I did write is not for publication.

What is this oddly named drabble? Niki (mistofshadows) does them too, but those seemed to me to be like short descriptive and analytical pieces. So why drabble?

Aha, so here you are, my little blackmailer! I could not do any more last night, and then I had just got to Khalessi's post. OK, so let me see what we have got here.

>>

My RA, Manasi, is just like you kids. It lies in ambush and then catches me unawares. Thank the Lord for no CN telecasts over the weekend. This is already getting to be too much.
>>hope weekend brings you much needed relief...😳

If there is one thing on which everyone here is of one mind, it is pleasure at Avantika's brutal comeuppance! Quite an achievement, that!
>> surely an achievment...😆

As for Nand, there are very odd, discordant corners in even the blackest villains. In his case, it is not just his love for his daughter. It is also that he wants Mura to accept him whole-heartedly, and is willing to stand all her insults, day in and day out, for fully 9 years, in the hope of finally gaining it. That too is totally out of character, but there it is!
>>it is more like her rejection has made him more determined to get her .

Wow! There's a lot I can learn from you! I loved the clarity in your post and I had a guess that your expertise would lie in a kind of technical writing or something similar that requires you to be precise.
I adore analysis and interpretations. Unfortunately I'm liable to make a lot of mistakes because of my personal opinions. That's something I'm trying to overcome.
I honestly have no clue about the etymology of the word drabble hehe.
As I understand it, it's a short piece of writing.

I personally have been writing here and there. Poetry and short stories and the like. I started with fanfiction two years ago though. XD. I might be able to write for this Fandom if I manage to get proper information about the characters XD.
I'll be looking at your analysis for inspiration and will credit you if I do write a fanfiction piece.

Superbly written. But the serial is not drawing me. Have seen rushes in a FF mode.

Disappointed with the CGM being made as a do all good and infact he looks to be the savior of Chanakya in a reversal.

My dear Sri,

Thank you so much, my dear. But then you were always more than kind to my posts!

But how you do rush to judgement! Two lousy opening episodes which, curiously enough, seem to have had some sort of historical backing (though not for Nand being a barber!😉), followed by 2 better ones, and already you are crying that Chndragupta is being shown as too good. How on earth can he be bad? This is NOT Jalal the Jallad. This is a wonder boy whose genius Chanakya recognised very early on.

Chanakya will now have to cut and shape this rough diamond, and he will do precisely that. And why is it bad that Chandragupta saves Chanakya's life? Fighting off a wild boar would not have been a specialty of Chanakya's, for Heaven's sake! That scene is to convince Chanakya of the boy's courage, but not reckless courage that wants to show off. It is courage with a specific purpose, and he knows what the odds are for his achieving that purpose. Which is precisely what Chanakya was looking for.

I would not say that Chanakya was the "saviour" of young Chandragupta. Each needed the other, and it was a perfect partnership, though not one of equals. It was just a case of Lady Luck, who is a fickle jade at the best of times, producing a burst of glorious serendipity.

Chandragupta Maurya was one of the greatest warriors of all time - he never lost a battle - and Chanakya used him to splendid effect, first against the Macedonians and then against Nand.

Relax, Sri, and try and go with the flow. I have had a major digestive problem for the last 2 weeks and my rheumatic fingers go on strike without warning. Still, I watch these episodes and take the trouble to make these posts., And all you have to say about them is two words? I am disappointed in you, my very dear girl, I really am.

Amina my dear,

I have heard the word jaldi used even in the Ramayana shows , so what to say about this one!

As for the Avantika-Nand-Mura triangle, there is no accounting for either tastes or the strange vagaries of the human mind. The greatest writers have been unable to fathom these quirks, to hum kya cheez hain!

As for your father and his nai, what I want to know is whether the resumed haircut was OK or all a crooked mess because of the nai's mind still being elsewhere At this rate, he must soon have run out of customers!
