To me - Deva seemed a bit too blinded by his rage-revenge need to consider that his scars will make her feel guilty. If he were to feel that Tara felt guilty - even slightly - he wouldn't have been upset with her in the first place. The very reason Deva is so tremendously hurt and now hell-bent on hurting Tara is because he feels that she didn't and doesn't care.
