I was actually glad that people here like shows like CAS instead of saas bahu dramas like Saathiya or DABH or romantic shows like JNDSD or Kasam something. Indian audiences have the bad habit to watch crappy shows most of the time and don't value good shows like Dehleez, Airlines etc. Surprisingly CAS had 3.0+ TRPs without any saas bahu or romantic crap.

Well not to comment about Sathiya...😆😆... the show goes beyond my head,... I liked DABH to a very micro size extent for its concepts...😆😆...But as they stretched the show like rubber band and for its utter saas bahu story line I was never hooked to that show...

Well some one commented in this thread telling that no show survives without love story and without love story each and every story would get TRP less than 1... i just want to say just one thing... Sathiya didn't have a single track of love story till date (well people can't mention about gopi ahem cause there was hardly romance in true sense between them) but still the show is managing to get upper position in TRP chart...😆😆... how is that possible actually?!.. Or the show getting trp out of eternal Saas Bahu romance of gopi nd koki...😆😆

Why not... Mythology nd History based show are the new trend of indian TV nowdays... and a mass number of audience are liking that.. for example DKDM, Star plus mahabharat, they all had good trps... and these shows hardly has any true sense of romantic track...😆😆... another one I want to mention about the show Siyasat,.. it was not that popular cause the show aired on epic channel and deprived of any dramma... it was solely based on historical and politics of mughals.., historical shows also have audiences.. just the makers need to have a solid script... a little bit of creative liberty is acceptable but in name of creative liberty they were butchering the character particularly which no one can accept.

Haan I totally agree with you. The new show jana na dil se door is all about love and romance. Still it has like 0.6 TRPs. Now they can give excuses like the timing is bad and blablablah. People like dramas, actions, excitement to actually like a show. Saathya is working because every week there is a new drama. When Chanakya was still part of the show the show had 3.0 TRPs because it had actions, court dramas, new problems solved by Chanakya and Ashok. That's why we were really excited for the episodes.

Yup its really true... as a viewer i feel that whenever I am watching any serial of any concept there should be some factor that could click with audience and make them excited to watch the new eps... i am not against showing romance or love stories... but true to say that it doesn't go well with all concepts and specially when it comes to a historical show on a personality like Ashoka... Nice topic. Well somebody mentioned here that TRP's of all shows is down (reason: Olympics). True. But I would like to say that just for Olympics, Indians wont sacrifice serials unless its World Cup( Cricket). The reason can be Indian shows have turned into such craps that audience prefer to watch anything other than serials 😆😆😆. Look at the dip in TRP's of all shows.😆

Now coming to CAS. The show has turned into a joke in the name of historical show. 😆😆😆... Which history book are the cv's following 😆😆😆...Because the history books which I have read never talked about the wodoo , black magic, Eternal love of Ashok-Kaurwaki. 😆😆😆...The books never talked about Bindusar being called Bhondusar for his stupidity.😆😆😆It never talked about Sushim being an incapable candidate. It never talked about Kaurwaki being a princess of Kalinga. It never talked about the king of Kalinga as a king who was hell bent on destroying Magadh. 😆😆😆...It never talked about Chanakya being murdered 🥱🥱🥱

Honestly the show worked perfectly without romance.😉..and with the presence of .Chanakya...(Manoj ji)...Ashoka(Siddharth)...Helena(Suzanne)...Even I find Ashoka(younger) as more matured in dealing with his emotions.He was clear about his ambitions and no one mattered in front of his goals...Not even Kaurwaki 😆 He was not a love sick puppy. Thanks to cv's they turned adult Ashoka into one..If one is looking for romance...Then Indian tv is full of this crap romance ...Falling ...catching...Eye locks...😆...Diya...Lamp...lantern...This is a historical show...😆..So stop showing cliche romance for the sake of impressing fans. Stick to original history...Samrat Ashok's life was more adventurous and entertaining than what is shown in this show.

I feel bad about the elder cast though......Its not their fault but the story is the main culprit...😆😆😆

Since the TRP's of most shows are dippping..and it has dipped...Its a precursor to cv's to think original rather than sticking to same old fomulas...😆😆😆

Hi5 even I was a huge fan of the show. Vivian was so good as Abhay. Actually the character itself was amazing.

Me 2!!.. I specially watched the show for Vivian's act as Abhay... i was not fond of piya though... her characterization was bit poor to me... even there I was a big fan of Sid-Abhay and Abhay-Jay bromance!!...🤣
