Not a history buff, so I am ok with the fiction bit which lends the entertainment factor to a varied audience watching.

With such an expensive project the channel & PH need to make sure the coffers are filled too, or else they would not be able to continue with the extravaganza that a show of this scale demands. So fiction being weaved in amidst the factual part is understandable to me...

well they are not showing real history lol! and if you want to know about chanakya there was an old show on tv called Chanakya, the links are on youtube, it concisely tells about his life in 46 episodes!

only thing is nothing of real history has been shown apart from the characters themselves!

I actually liked yesterday's episode

esp. the conversation between ahoka and bindusara

While I too am interested in the actual history, I have learnt my lesson with MP. If they can butcher such a promising show as BKVPMP, they can do the same to CAS. After all less things are known about Ashoka the Great (especially childhood) than Maharana Pratap. Definitely they are gonna improvise and inject filmy drama.
