Can't agree more with both of you, Nataly and Nandu! We may miss SY Magic, but I really appreciate the way Sid has carried himself even after the replacement. He was at his professional best in those tough times. This professionalism will take him a long way for sure 😊

There were many aspirants who tried their luck in B-Town this year. However, the year wasn't kind to many of those. While some found cushy launchpads, others managed to get a break after years of toil. But easy debuts don't guarantee success. Some managed to shine in movies where they were on the sides, while those with seemingly safe launchpads failed to make it big at the box office. Expectations were high. Here are those who raised our expectations the most. However, not all of them met those.
Tiger Shroff Heropanti
People didn't know what to expect of Tiger. However, not only did his movie work wonders at the box office, but the debutant had many big producers and production houses signing him for their forthcoming ventures. Tiger was liked by the audience and the critics in his first Bollywood outing. He can dance really well, is great in action sequences and can act well, too. This newbie definitely has a promising future in Bollywood.
Kriti Sanon Heropanti
While Heropanti was supposed to be Tiger's show all the way, Kriti who also made her debut with the movie, was noticed by everyone for her effortless performance. Within a year, she has already signed Singh Is Bling opposite Akshay Kumar, Farzi with Shahid Kapoor and is likely to star in the movie based on Chetan Bhagat's novel Half Girlfriend. This sure is a fantastic beginning for a girl who doesn't hail from a filmi khandaan.
Siddharth Shukla Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania
Already popular as Shiv of Balika Vadhu, Siddharth caught Karan Johar's eye when the later was judging Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Siddharth was cast as Alia's suitor in HSKD. The role was on the lines of the one he played in Balika Vadhu. Along with his acting chops, he also showed off his drool-worthy physique on the big screen. While the movie did extremely well at the box office, it was Varun and Alia, who walked away with much of the attention. But being part of a Dharma movie sure opened the gates of Bollywood for Siddharth.
Tahir Raj Bhasin Mardaani
Bad can be good, and Tahir is one person who will vouch for it. After struggling in Bollywood, the newbie got himself a part in the Rani Mukerji-starrer. However, he wasn't cast opposite the actress. Instead, he had to make her life miserable in the movie. And his attempts at being bad were so good that even Aamir Khan took note of his performance.
Fawad Khan Khoobsurat
There couldn't have been a better Prince Charming. Having starred in Pakistani soap Humsafar, which was telecast in India, around the time of the release of Khoobsurat, Fawad already had his female fan following in place. And he added a whole lot more to the number when he made his Bollywood debut. The actor will play a prince once again in the movie based on Battle For Bittora opposite his Khoobsurat co-star Sonam.
Daisy Shah Jai Ho
A Salman Khan movie would be any aspiring actress' dream debut, and looked like Daisy Shah was living the dream. And though Jai Ho did well at the box office, Daisy, who was being initially compared to Rani Mukerji, failed to sign any plum projects after her debut. These days she is often spotted more at events than on sets.
Armaan Jain Lekar Hum Deewana Dil
Raj Kapoor's grandson and Kareena and Ranbir's cousin, Armaan, had his brother-in-law Said producing his debut vehicle. The movie directed by Imtiaz Ali's brother Arif had a great score by AR Rahman. This looked like an ideal launch with a safe storyline. However, the movie didn't click at the box office, and Armaan is yet to sign something that will help him relaunch his Bollywood dreams.
Mohit Marwah Fugly
Like Armaan, Mohit too had his filmi connection in place. The newbie, who is Sonam and Arjun's cousin, was launched in a movie produced by Akshay Kumar. The movie was heavily inspired from Rang De Basanti, however, the badly-made movie tanked at the BO. Mohit, who is often seen at high-profile parties, is yet to find any good projects.
Vijender Singh Fugly
He had packed a lot of punches in the boxing ring, but he couldn't win the bout at the box office. In Fugly, Vijender was cast in a role of a Haryanvi boxer, which was tailor made for him. But the boxing champ couldn't impress the critics or the audience in his debut. Since the movie, Bollywood has kept its distance from the boxer. He may be good in the ring and occasionally on the ramp, but Bollywood definitely isn't his turf.

Well said sudha..i am just amazed with the professionalism of sid ..😳..even after replacement he was the person who suffered most.He got all the hot waves from Viewers, from PH as well as from his Costars...But its only he who managed everything with his immense patience and perfect professionalism...perfect attitude of a true winner...⭐️.Infact honestly speaking i love him most only for this attitude of him .😳..Becoz i always believe that may many person have looks and talents ...but only few PPL have proper attitude towards their job and duties...and Attitude is the main quality which make the difference between the good and the BEST..😊
