He Who Dares

Seny gets what's coming to him...

Seny was in for a surprise when he was summoned to the Diary Room and given some of the items he asked for three days ago.

"Oh!" he exclaimed. "Hello!"

"You will find on the chair some of the items you requested," Big Brother told him.

Big Brother told Seny he could have: "One pack of rubber gloves, one pack of multi-surface wipes, one packet of non-biological washing powder, three jay cloths, one kitchen cleaner spray and one window cleaning spray."

Absent from this list were the helium balloons, football, tennis rackets, cricket set, ice pops, honey, remote-control robot and puppy that Seny had rather optimistically requested on Day 13.

Fortunately, Seny didn't notice this oversight.

"There's no window cleaning spray," he complained instead.

"Big Brother hopes the non-bio powder will help with any discomfort you might have," he was told.

"Thanks very much," laughed Seny, as he tried on the rubber gloves.

"The gloves aren't really my colour actually," he mused, "but I suppose I've got no choice."

He who dares wins, Seny. Robot and puppy aside, that is.

Lesley gets mobbed for the very first time...

In the next instalment of Lesley's diary, Lesley discovers she's not at the top of the paparazzi hit-list, but she is big in the world of pub quizzes...

Wednesday

The photographer from a well known daily newspaper came and took photographs of me today and it took three hours! I mean, it was just exhausting, absolutely exhausting. You have to stand sort of knock-kneed with one arm here and one arm there. It's supposed to make you look thin but the total effect is to make you look rather drunk.

Then I went off to do Big Brother's Little Brother. It's fun and it's always interesting meeting the other guests. Mr Paparazzi himself was there - Darryn Lyons. There's nothing much he doesn't know about celebrity. I don't think I have an awful lot to offer the paparazzi. Unless I put on an awful lot of weight, because apparently, fat sells photos. I'm going for the not-selling-photos option.

I got to be touched by the lovely Dermot again on BBLB. Now that is a man who is professional. He could be doing brain surgery with that intelligence, but thank god he's not because now we can all have a piece of him. So that was terrific fun.

Oh and of course I have been mobbed for the first time! We stopped for tea on the way to the studio yesterday and a crowd gathered around. They were just so lovely, so warm and friendly, not intrusive at all.

Best of all, I have gathered that I really have hit the big time because I am now a question in pub quizzes - 'Who is the oldest contestant in Big Brother ever?' I feel that I've broken through some sort of glass ceiling there.

Who stole Carole's missing toilet roll..?

Nicky watched as Carole confronted Shabnam about the theft of her toilet roll.



"Why are you shouting at me?" asked Shabnam.

"I'm shouting at you because you just sneaked that out of my thing," said Carole of her stolen toilet roll.

"I've got two toilet rolls that have disappeared into thin air!" shrieked Shabnam.

"You could have just come and asked me," reasoned Carole.

Shabnam went outside to moan with Charley in the garden.

"I took some toilet roll," blurted Shabnam. "You can all turn against me and call me what you want. Still won't bother me."

"You don't want people to say you're a thief," warned Charley, adding that she should have asked Carole's permission.

Big Brother could always ban use of the bathroom again? Just trying to help.

Nicky, who had also popped into the garden, mentioned that she was now wondering about who took her missing razors.

"Well I don't use razors so there you go," retorted Shabnam.

"Don't start having a go at me Shabs," said Nicky as she went back into the House."

Shabnam reveals the reason for her strange behaviour..

Charley and Shabnam had a giant slanging match tonight in the bedroom - and the cosmetics queen claimed to hail from somewhere a world away from the Big Brother House.

Charley snarled, "You're losing the plot a bit love!"

"I've lost the plot since I was born," Shabnam shouted. "I was born on another planet!" Er, really?

Charley failed to grasp the enormity of this revelation. "If you're talking to me, calm down, because you're getting on my nerves now," she stated firmly.

"You know what?" Shabnam screeched. "Let's not continue this argument!"

"I swear, I will flip to the maximum!" warned Charley.

Perhaps it's a full moon tonight...

Telling Porkies

Nicky finds her punishment a real boar...

Big Brother gave Nicky a pig of a punishment today, after she came to the Diary Room to talk about a completely different issue - her new-found determination to quit her costly fag habit.

After asking "What should I do about the cigarettes?" and ranting about her cravings, Nicky got ready to leave. "I'm going now," she said, "I'll come and tell you how my non-smoking is going tomorrow."

"Please sit down Nicky," Big Brother instructed, before intoning gravely, "Earlier this evening, you took it upon yourself to push a pork pie into the lens of the Diary Room camera."

"Oh my word, I so did not!" Nicky yelled.

"As you know, tampering with fixtures and fittings is strictly forbidden," Big Brother reminded her.

"No, no, no, I did not push that pork pie!" the brunette shouted. "I held it up to the camera and Seny pushed it in. And if you recall, and look back at the film, you'll see me saying, 'No no no, don't push it into the camera, we'll get in to trouble'."

"Big Brother has provided you with cleaning stuff and would like you personally to spend two hours cleaning the mirrors of the House," Big Brother told her solemnly. "Big Brother would like you to do this in the next two hours."

"No, 'cause it's raining," Nicky huffed, before whining, "I'm not taking this punishment! I didn't push the pork pie into the camera lens. In fact, shall I go and get Seny so you can ask him yourself?"

Her answer? "Big Brother's decision is final."

Oh Nicky, that sounds really offal...

Alarming Dreams

The morning alarm interrupts Seny's weird dream...

It's Day 16 and the half-asleep housemates have been sharing their dreams.

With the Big Brother alarm blaring out at full volume, only the deepest of sleepers had a chance of catching any extra zzzzs, so the housemates had no choice but to drag themselves out of bed.

They say that you remember your dreams best when you first wake up, and so it was with Seny, Chanelle and Laura this morning.

"I had a dream," announced Seny, "that we all got to go home for one day. While I was home they advertised Big Brother on the TV."

"It was just so... random," Seny concluded. "It was the most randomest thing..." he said, missing the fact that dreaming about Big Brother while you're taking part in Big Brother is pretty much the opposite of random.

"I've had similar dreams," said Laura.

"I had this dream last night," Chanelle confided, "and I was like, 'Oh, I've got to go to work my shift tomorrow night and I've got to call at the doctors.' They let me go home and watch us all on the TV."

Shabnam is Evicted

The House says goodbye to Shabnam...

It's taken 17 days, and we've already lost two housemates, but tonight the public finally got to boot someone out - and you chose Shabnam.

A whopping 81.4% of you voted to kick the 22-year-old out the door, meaning Carole and Tracey last another week.

We'll miss the brash, confident Londoner who has been the axis upon which all the House's mischief has spun. If she's not been singing with the twins, she's been bitching with Charley. And if there were water fights to be fought, she'd be there on the frontline.

Her cheek got the housemates punished, but they got her back and her suitcase was nabbed by Big Brother. Not that Shabnam was phased. In fact it just encouraged her carry out more night-time naughties, gabbling and whistling her way through bedtimes.

So sayonara Shabnam - it's gonna be quiet now. But at least the housemates might get a good night's sleep...

She's Gone

Shabnam's out but does she care? Does she heck?...

As the housemates squeezed onto the sofas to hear the name of their first public vote, Shabnam nodded confidently.

"It's gonna be me," she repeated. And she was right.

In hearing her name, she jumped up. "I told you," she said.

Tracey jumped over to cuddle her, but Charley burst into tears.

"Don't worry. I had a blast," said Shabnam, hugging everyone.

"I'm going, I'm going. I'm so scared of getting booed," she grinned. But hearing she was out hadn't dampened her excitement.

The twins led a rousing chorus at the door - it would be the last time they'd all sing together. It was the noisiest eviction yet. Shabnam shouted goodbye messages to everyone.

Shabnam's rapid-fire eviction interview...

Davina: How cruel to have plucked you out when there are loads of men going in.

Shabnam: I've had a blast. They all look really cool. Liam is one tasty dish. They're all good-looking in their own way. Carole and Jon should get together.

D: You got 81 per cent...

S: I'm not surprised. I try and look at positives. I was very outspoken and loud, and got on a lot of people's nerves - in a good way. But there might be more to watch with Carole and Tracey. Everything about me has come out already.

D: Who do you think nominated you?

S: Everyone probably nominated. They meant it in a nice way. It's brilliant. I did expect to go.

(After seeing her nominations). Oh, only two. I'm surprised. In terms of housework I was very lazy. I was the worst. But I made them dance. And that's contributing to the energy. That's what I brought to the House.

D: What was it like having just women in there at first?

S: I thought it was quite fun. It was great to share make-up tips.

D: How did men change it?

S: Ziggy was first in. And there were a lot of good conversations. It broke down all talk about straighteners and make-up tips. But then he got paired off. The next two are a lot of fun.

D: What about your best friend in there, Charley?

S: Let me just say, maybe, in there, unless you are there for that long you don't really make best friends. I don't think she means any harm. We only had two arguments, but they were like, blows. I think it's the pressure of being in there.

D: Ziggy and Chanelle, is that for real?

S: I think it is for real. I'd like to think it was real. Posh and Becks in the House, how good can it get? It's nice to have love in the house.

D: Nicky, does she have a fun side?

S: Hot sauce is the fun side. I do think she has a fun side. She has a dry sense of humour.

D: You were gonna leave in week one.

S: I know, but I would never have walked out.

D: Have you enjoyed it?

S: I'd rather have two weeks and have a great time than have four weeks and be miserable. I'm so grateful. I had blast.

D: Who will win?

S: The twins maybe. Or Carole. From what I've seen she puts everyone before her.

D: What goes on in Shabnam's mind?

S: So much! A whirlwind! Tangents.
