SPOILERS ... but
It's horrible, pointless, stupid, mentally frustrating, and above all a Crapta Crapoor product... so you're not missing anything.
As wonderful as KD is, I felt she did overact a tad bit, or under performed in some scenes. KD is most definitely not up to the same standards she held during EHMMBH or ENP. But she did take a two year break so ... (like Ileana, Rustom in 1-2 days!!!) ... I'm a bit more lenient towards her.
Aham Sharma's character is annoying and he overacts significant notches above Krystal. Nothing like StarBharat's acting.
Coming to the plot line - the story is about a guy (Aditya) who falls madly in love with his newly wedded bride, who turns out to be a gold-digger and kills the guy because ... you know ... money. He ends up surviving a drastic fall and ends up getting killed by Mr. Gorilla, who you know isn't the shy, peaceful vegetarian we all know and love .. nope Mr. Gorilla is evil and bad. So when the guy is killed - and this is the confusing part that I'm not even sure I understand, but his soul enters Mr. Gorilla and GO GO POWER RANGE-- oops wrong show. TRANSFORM BRAHMARAKSHAS POWERS UNITE.
Theory: I'm just as confused as you are. I would guess that once Aditya died, his vengeful soul entered the gorilla body, forced the gorilla to commit suicide and then ate the gorilla's soul to become the Brahmarakshas - because as later explained, a person killed by an animal (still seeking revenge), ends up possessing the animal, and a Brahmarakshas is born. Now, the Brahmarakshas is a supposed to be a pissed off Were-Gorilla, so it makes theoretical sense that Aditya's soul ate Mr. Gorilla's soul and became BrahmaRakshas. It's said that a BrahmaRakshas won't leave until it kills the person it wants to kill.
Back to the story, Brahmarakshas hates anything wedding / bridal / alcohol related because those were the situations in which Aditya died. So if he sniffs out some red powder on someone's head, the Brahmarakshas - who is visible to the naked eye by the way -
Theory 2: I forgot that the Brahmarakshas is visible, so to tweak my first theory - Aditya died, his vengeful soul ate the gorilla and became Brahmarakshas - the were-gorilla.
who is visible to the naked eye by the way ... - kills her and anyone standing in his way (the lover). The things to avoid - red sindoor (white sindoor is fine), red bridal clothes (though I don't think he has a problem with a groom's clothing), bangles, etc. and alcohol. If he smells Alcohol in large quantities, he will become the Brahmarakshas. Oh it also can't cross water and is activated by a specific musical song. Honestly, it's the most pathetic rakshas ever ... and I haven't even described him yet.
Luckily, if you want to protect yourself from this evil (😆😆) fellow, you just need to carry a Kamalpura kamal. For example, AND SPOILERS, Brahmarakshas possesses a body it killed and tries to enter a house with Kamalpura flowers, but it can't step inside and instead it's flung away, and the Brahmarakshas and the dead body it possessed is separated. Why the women in the village don't put Kamalpura flowers in their hair to protect themselves is not clear. Clearly it's a smart solution, but maybe there is a current shortage in flowers.
Theory 3: The solution to the problem - trap the brahmarakshas in a cage with tons of Kamalpura kamals. Use a damsel in distress as bait and then as the Brahmarakshas appears to kill, just drop the cage on him. He can't get out because of the flowers, and he can't live in the cage because of the flowers. He'll be dead (again?) before you know it.
Let's get to describing the guy. So imagine yourself enjoying life, and then you come across a random dude. He's completely normal, rather friendly, and chill. He's a bit strange, but who isn't right? And then you pour yourself a cup of wine in front of him. He starts to look even more strange, and is unable to control himself as past memories of him being betrayed by the gold-digger appear in his mind. A gorilla face appears with red eyes and an angry face, and then boom ... this guy appears ... this is ... the Brahmarakshas ...
Note: I'm not entirely sure what happens to the dead body. Like does the Brahmarakshas leave the dead body it's possessing or does it transform the dead body? I mean, why does it have to leave the old dead body and enter the new one if it doesn't.
Theory 4: Brahmarakshas' form bursts out from the dead body, which is why it has to possess a new body.
Yes, that's our were-gorilla dude. He didn't die wearing those clothes, but as you can see from his teeth and hands ... they aren't anything like Mr. Gorilla. This isn't a gorilla-human metamorphasis ... I think it's supposed werewolf but, who knows ... maybe the CVs got confused over the animal?
This is the gorilla that killed Aditya in the beginning.
This is the gorilla that appears whenever the Brahmarakshas gets angry and transforms
Brahmarakshas Head, Hands, Feet (his feet aren't backwards like a chudail... he is standing like that)
Just look at his face. Where does one see a gorilla? The white hair on the nose ... came from what?
Bottom line: This is supernatural bakhwas. Watch it if you want to sit back, yell at the TV screen, and laugh your head off at what is shown. Watch it if you like KD and have the patience to suffer through 40-45 minutes of stupidity, an annoying Rishab (AS), and to take part in the obviously weird, but hilarious conversations that will take place in the Brahmarakshas forum.
Also, a Brahmarakshas isn't what the show says it is. It's actually a dead brahmin who did evil things / misused his knowledge. Of course the animal definition sounds cooler (cough stupider cough) so that's probably why EK went for that.
On a side note, I'd like to dare everyone here to watch the first two episodes and try to make sense of it. I'm still lost on who's related to who 😆.
Challenge officially proposed. 😆😆 🤣🤣🤣
