Various names were tossed around for the titular role of Brahmarakshas including Nikitin Dheer and Rahul Dev. Now, sources say that it's Parag Tyagi who's bagged the role. The actor is best remembered for his role as Archana's (Ankita Lokhande) brother in Pavitra Rishta. He also participated in Nach Baliye with his wife Shefali Zariwala. He is a regular in Ekta Kapoor soaps and was last seen in her serial Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do.
Says a source, "Ekta and her creative team needed someone with the right combination of a good physique, a powerful personality with an aura that can send chills down your spine and Parag fitted the bill." The serial revolves around a ferocious monster who directs his wrath towards newly-wed brides. It is their red chooda, paayal and sindoor that incite the fury of the Brahmarakshas. Krystle D'Souza and Aham Sharma play the lead roles.
