LOL, I thought The God of Small Things was a wonderful book. Beautiful, vivid language and a heartbreaking story. Besides that, the way Roy structured the story was unique -- carefully using flashbacks to reconstruct a character's fragmented memory.
The most boring book I read was Dracula by Bram Stoker.

Hey Sareeta,
No need to re-attempt the book because of me, LOL. There are several books listed on this thread that I really liked - including The Alchemist. But that just implies a difference in tastes.Another Booker winner, Kiran Desai, failed to hold my attention with The Inheritance of Loss, while my friend LOVED the book.
