Within a bat of my eye should say THE ALCHEMIST , it was so hyped with absolutley no content , just a pure waste of time !

MINE WULD BE THE DA VINCI CODE....
it started off well but then i got utterly betterly confused with facts n fiction.... the middle part was really boring the end though dramatic was not really enjoyable.... too exaggerated i think....

Probably wouldn't say boring as I read the whole book in a day or two's time, but at the end of "God of Small Things," by Roy, I was left unimpressed. The book had no impact on me, didn't leave me thinking, the way good book do, whereas I was expecting it to be something better because of all the acclaim it's gotten.

For those who didn't enjoy "The Alchemist:" I read the Alchemist in one sitting, and it's not exactly compelling, so I hear where you're coming from. It's just one of those stories which are the way they are, simplistic, not offering much. Definitely something that I wouldn't recommend but as time-pass, it's okay (although, even for that, there are better books.)

It would probably be "Heart of Darkness" by Joseph Conrad.

1. Didn't understand too much.

2. Had to read it for class.

3. Not my type of genre.

Yes I completely agree with you...heart of darkness was i couldn't understand a WORD😆

I've read some really oring books fom time to time, but one of the most boring I thing is " The Jane Austen Book Club" by Karen Joy Fowler. I can't really describe wha made it boring for me, but it was.
i also agree that Anne Frank was a bit tedious. Her story itself is amazing but her diary wasn't anything spectacular.

The Giver - it dragged, my friends were literally begging me to read it, so i gave it a shot, and boy was i regreting it!
I guess it was a good book; but it literally took me 3 months to read, I read like a page or two a day. Aha.
