Hey
This is Aura. I am die hard romance book lover, not that I don't read the other variety. I just prefer romance more than others. For every fifty romance books, I read one not quite romantic. 😆 No wonder my sister says I am a lost case. Good for me, my mom doesn't know what I read. 😆

I was wondering if there were others like me here?

How about we form a romance book review club sort of a thing. We can all pick a book, read it and then dissect it😎 Like a literary ladies society kinds!

I NEED SUGGESTIONS!

When I asked for a suggestion from by mate back in other forum, they suggested me Fifty Shades Trilogy by E.L. James. I definitely can't ready that crap because if somehow, my mother or father catch my book, they'll hang me. So I need some books you can suggest.

I'll suggest you some, too.

The books I've loved so far, are :

The Fault In Our Stars
A Walk To Remember
Emma
Pride and Prejudice
Twilight (Not a Classic)

And many more :)

So please give me a suggestion!

- Tani xoxo

P.S.- I DO admire your idea. Please continue!

Harsh you read romantic books only...contemporary or historical or both???

If Contemporary then try

Sea Breeze Beach series by Abbi Glines shes really good... Genre Young Adult Romantic

Even the Rosemary Beach Series is good...by the same writer..

In classics there is Wuthering Height by Emily Bronte

David Copperfield by Charles Dickens

Then in Historical novels there are

Amanda Quick, Julie Garwood, Judith MacNaught, Julia Quin, Eloise James etc who truly are awesome writers..

I read like a book a day😳 once I start, there's no stopping me. The last book I read was Elusive Bride By Stephnie Laurens.
I haven't given Elle Kennedy a try yet though.

The plot is overdrawn and chewed like a stale gum. The protagonist are two dimensional. The language, for lack of a better word, makes me cringe and that is not because I am prudish. I don't mind some crude words or the like. I do appreciate a good adult romance, and I've a have read more than a lot of them. But fifty was just silly. And now they've made a movie out of it. 😆 definitely can't ready that crap because if somehow, my mother or father catch my book, they'll hang me. So I need some books you can suggest.

As for suggestions, how about you try Lisa Kleypas Historicals. Georgette Heyer for light Classic Romance. Or Nora Roberts in contemporary. If you don't mind reading E-books, let me know. I have many PDFs. There are so many suggestions, but I don't want to confuse you yet :P

Julie Garwood was the first romance author I read. The Bride.. I've never read something quite so silly but even in the most absurd ways, the book was good. It was funny. It made no sense at all, and made me laugh even as I rolled my eyes. I particularly like her For the roses series. Amanda quick's earlier books were better. These days somehow, the charm is missing. But the best part about the above authors is we know what to expect. If I want to read a weird Mystery with a lot of philosophy thrown in and a bluestocking for a girl, I'd pick Quick. If i simply want a laugh, Julia or Julie. For serious, sometimes distressingly so, perhaps MacNaught. Romance with a touch of class and elgance . . . James. 😊 Have you tried Lisa Kleypas or Annie Gracie? I personally love m both.
