i read this awesome book wen i entered medicine..its a book worth reading 4 mediacs as well as non-mediacs..its a story abt the lives ov doctors,their problems...its a blend ov love,emotions,reality,fiction etc...i read n confirmed tat this book relates facts 2..many thngs abt medicine r exactly the same in it as in reality..n 4 non-mediacs,thr z a beautiful n tragic love story ov barney n laura in it...so hw many ov u read or liked it??n hw many wud read??share ur views

I liked this book too.Read it long time back during my medical college days.

Have to find some time to read it again.

It is a good book which talks about the lives of doctors without sounding like a medical science fiction.

But my all time favourite book about doctors is Arthur Hailey's Final diagnosis.

I read it a long time back when I was fascinated by the profession and wanted to go ahead with it. That's changed. The book, however, I liked. It was a mix of emotions, professions, careers and situations one would never think life would place them in.

yes those who are in the field of medical science and in colleges they should go for the book .. it doesnt flaunt any lovey dovey colege story but actually shows a glimse to odd working hours and hard work .. beautiful with looking or turning into a science fiction ... loved it ...
